Sean Stewart Opens Up About Rehab: The Shocking Truth Behind His Past Trauma
Sean Stewart recently shared with DailyMail.com the reasons behind his stay at a recovery facility in California.
According to a report by DailyMail.com on Tuesday, the reality TV personality, aged 44, sought treatment at the Cliffside Malibu recovery center.
Stewart has shared with DailyMail.com that he is content to verify that he is actively seeking assistance to transform into a more improved individual, and he wishes to narrate his experiences to others who may be going through similar struggles.
Sean additionally made it clear that he is currently undergoing treatment for traumatic experiences, ongoing ADHD, and long-standing childhood concerns. He continues to grapple with feelings of insufficiency.
As a seasoned lifestyle advisor, I’ve had my fair share of battles – ADHD being one of them since my childhood days. Add to that the challenge of a learning disability, dyslexia, and unkind labels like “Stupid Stewart,” which were thrown my way in school. The celebrity expressed that they are presently addressing the emotional turmoil from their childhood, which was rooted in having ADHD and feelings of inability to thrive in life.
ADHD, or Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, is a type of developmental condition that influences behaviors related to focus, restlessness, and acting on whims.
As a devoted follower, I’m currently engaged in therapeutic sessions, where I’m diligently addressing and resolving the challenges that I face.
Stewart has appeared on multiple reality television programs, such as “Stewarts & Hamiltons,” and runs a fashion line titled “Dirty Weekend.” However, he feels that these accomplishments are insufficient for him.
The son of ex-model Alana Stewart stated, “Even though I’ve dealt with challenges like ADHD and dyslexia in the past, it doesn’t define my potential for success. I’m currently figuring out how to manage these conditions effectively.
Later on, Sean emphasized the importance of reminding his followers that many individuals struggle with various disorders. He suggested that openly discussing these issues is the most effective approach.
Sean mentioned that despite Elon Musk being on the autism spectrum, he openly shares this aspect of himself with his followers, manages it effectively, and has achieved great success in his career.
In 2021, during his stint as Saturday Night Live host, Elon Musk openly discussed his struggle with Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism, in the opening monologue of the show.
Afterward, Stewart expressed: ‘I value transparency from public figures, and I aim to follow suit by being open about my own challenges.’
The location where Sean currently resides offers a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. There are numerous beneficial activities available, such as taking a dip in the pool, exercising at the fitness center, participating in horse therapy sessions, undergoing acupuncture treatments, and attending group counseling sessions.
Sean expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to take a break from his businesses, allowing him to focus on personal growth and becoming a better person for his family, as he shared with DailyMail.com.
One day, he aspires to establish a family, including kids, and develop into the individual he believes he can become. He aims to be an exceptional father, as stated by Kimberly Stewart’s brother.
‘I am dealing with the pain so I can be more self-confident man,’ he explained.
And he wants his story to help others.
I believe it’s crucial for me to be open about my circumstances, as I want to encourage others to seek help and build their strength. Ideally, I aspire to serve as an inspiration for those in need. It really saddens me when I hear about people enduring pain in secret, it’s just devastating. If my story can touch even one soul and motivate them to seek help, then I consider myself content.

Sean and Julia were lately spotted aboard a luxurious 150-million-dollar yacht, along with the Stewarts, to celebrate Rod’s 80th birthday festivities.

His oldest child, Sarah Streeter (born in November 1963), is his daughter from his former relationship with Susannah Boffey.
