Sean Combs’ inner circle reveals a world of guns, abuse, kidnapping and death threats

Last year, when federal authorities accused Sean “Diddy” Combs of multiple criminal charges, they emphasized that the case extended beyond just his alleged illicit activities.

It was claimed that they would reveal evidence showing the former musician-turned-businessman utilized his influence and wealth to evade appalling crimes, frequently with assistance from a group of counselors and assistants.

This week, tales from people close to Combs emerged during his federal trial involving racketeering and sex trafficking allegations. These individuals spoke about Combs’ perceived threats of violence, instances of coercion, attempts at kidnapping, and the physical abuse he allegedly inflicted on his ex-girlfriend.

Investigators presented various testifiers to reinforce their belief that the hip-hop tycoon is not just a perpetrator of domestic violence, but also manipulates and intimidates his victims through his entire Bad Boy enterprise. Particularly with regard to Cassie Ventura, his former girlfriend, they asserted that he employs this method of abuse.

One individual, who was a clean-up worker for Combs, testified that he discarded alcohol bottles and illegal substances following boisterous gatherings. Another person declared they had driven Combs, who was armed, in a past incident involving a confrontation with hip-hop entrepreneur Suge Knight.

Testimony that was particularly impactful came from Capricorn Clark, a previous global brand director at Sean Combs‘ Bad Boy Entertainment, who recounted incidents of intimidation and violence allegedly perpetrated by the mogul over extended periods.

The federal indictment claims that Combs and his companions enticed female victims, frequently under the guise of a romantic connection. It claims that he subsequently resorted to physical force, threats of violence, manipulation, and controlled substances to persuade women into participating in sexual acts with male escorts, which Combs occasionally observed during events he referred to as “freak offs.” Combs provided the women with ketamine, ecstasy, and GHB, a drug used in date rape, to maintain their obedience and compliance throughout the events.

As an admirer of truth, I must express my deep concern over the troubling accusations against Combs. It’s alleged that his organization, under his leadership, was a dangerous enterprise, exploiting and abusing women in various ways, including sex trafficking, forced labor, interstate prostitution, coercion, enticement for prostitution, narcotics offenses, kidnapping, arson, bribery, obstruction of justice, among other crimes. Prosecutors have stated this in the context of RICO charges, highlighting Combs’ reliance on a group of employees, security personnel, and assistants to carry out these heinous acts.

On December 22, 2011, Clark recounted an incident where she was awoken by loud knocking on her Los Angeles apartment door. Upon opening the door, she found Combs brandishing a firearm. She stated that he inquired, “Why didn’t you tell me? Who is Scott?” She testified these events.

According to reports coming from the courtroom in Manhattan, Clark testified that she understood Combs was mentioning Kid Cudi (whose real name is Scott Mescudi), as they had been acquainted. However, Clark claimed that she wasn’t familiar with Scott when she spoke to the hip-hop magnate.

However, Combs acknowledged that he was a competing musician and, as per Clark’s account, stated, “We’re going to outdo this one.

Approximately 15 minutes afterwards, they found themselves standing before Drake’s residence. Armed with a gun, Combs and his security guard entered the house, however, Cudi was not present at the time.

According to Clark’s testimony, she phoned Ventura using a secondary phone and warned, “Cassie, you need to halt Cudi as he’s headed towards danger, he might even lose his life.” In response, Ventura allegedly informed Clark that Cudi was en route to the house.

Clark mentioned that Combs returned to their car and discovered she’d dialed Ventura’s temporary phone. Soon afterward, Cudi appeared beside Combs’ Escalade near his residence, only to speed off. Unable to catch up, Combs admitted, was how she described the chase.

She stated that they wound up at a club at night, and Combs instructed her to contact Ventura and say that “he’s got me, and he won’t release me unless she comes to pick me up.

Clark stated that Combs told them they had to persuade Kid Cudi not to disclose Combs’ involvement in the break-in at his house to the police. As per CNN, Combs supposedly said: “If you don’t convince him of that, I’ll end all of you.

According to Clark, Ventura accompanied her to Combs’ residence in L.A., where at the moment, he started assaulting the singer. Clark stated that they both stood by as Combs aggressively kicked Ventura with full force, as the singer tried to shield herself. Clark also mentioned that Combs threatened to harm her if she intervened. A security guard instructed Clark to leave, and then she phoned Ventura’s mother to warn her about the situation. For four days during the initial week of the trial, Ventura detailed incidents where she was raped and physically assaulted at least six instances, with the most severe attack occurring in 2009. She recounted him stomping on her face after learning that she was dating Kid Cudi.

As a passionate cinephile, let me recount an incident that left me utterly shaken. Back in 2012, I experienced an ordeal I’ll never forget – the firebombing of my cherished Porsche 911 convertible, parked in the driveway of my Hollywood Hills residence. The authorities allege that this heinous act was orchestrated by none other than Combs, who, it seems, harbored such intense animosity towards me, a rapper, that he resorted to such despicable measures. I shared this harrowing tale with the jury, painting a vivid picture of the chilling sight that greeted me that fateful day.

Kim Kardashian explained to the court that her pet sitter phoned her, informing her that her Porsche was ablaze. She testified that it seemed as though someone had sliced open the roof of her Porsche and poured a makeshift incendiary device, a Molotov cocktail, inside.

Clark admitted she hung up on arson investigators who called her.

She testified that Combs threatened her 50 times during her last year of work.

Clark claimed that Combs had once accused her of taking borrowed diamond jewelry from a jeweler. She stated that an assistant of Combs conducted a lie detector test on her. He threatened her, saying if she failed the test or he couldn’t get a clear reading, they would throw her into the East River. After spending five days undergoing tests and being detained, she was eventually released, according to her account.

Combs’ legal team has attempted to clarify that the acts of violence mentioned during the trial are distinct from the accusations against the influential figure, emphasizing that “acts of domestic violence should not be equated with human trafficking.

Combs denies any kidnapping charges and his lawyers assert that he never took Clark against her will. During the trial, Clark admitted that when Combs arrived at her apartment, he brandished a gun, but didn’t aim it at her. The defense attorney managed to get Clark to admit that she went back to work for Combs after initially leaving his employment.

George Kaplan, an assistant to Combs between 2013 and 2015, informed jurors that his role was essentially cleaning up, disposing of alcohol bottles, drugs, and searching for miscellaneous items. Kaplan, who received immunity from prosecutors, testified he never disclosed any instances of abuse to the authorities. He testified that he overheard Ventura shouting in Combs’ jet’s bedroom. “Doesn’t anyone see this?” he said she cried out, with the sound of broken glassware accompanying her voice.

As a former assistant of Sean “Diddy” Combs in 2007 and 2008, I was called upon to testify about my experiences with him. Among other things, I stated that he had me prepare hotel rooms with Viagra, condoms, and baby oil. On one occasion, I also drove Mr. Combs, who had three handguns on his person, to a Los Angeles diner in an attempt to locate Knight, the renowned rap mogul.

One evening, James remembered discussing something with Ventura at a dock near Combs’ residence in Miami, where they both smoked cigarettes. He asked her why she chose to stay there instead of leaving. According to his testimony, Ventura replied, “I can’t find a way out.

James remembered her saying, ‘Mr. Combs has such a significant influence over my life.’ He manages my music career, covers my rent, and provides me with spending money.

James told the jury he believed her: “I just didn’t think that she could easily leave.”
