In the direction of Gary Fleder, the ensemble is completed by actors such as Guy Torry, Jennifer Esposito, Famke Janssen, Skye McCole Bartusiak, and Oliver Platt.

According to the book with the same title written by Anthony Peckham, “Don’t Say a Word” is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Individuals who have an active Amazon Prime membership can stream the movie at no extra charge. Fresh and returning members might even get a complimentary 30-day trial.

Initially, it received a somewhat indifferent response from critics upon its debut, yet it managed to earn an impressive $100 million globally, all while costing only $50 million to produce.

Although it only received a 23% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, the movie “Don’t Say a Word” has a more favorable 49% rating from its audience.

In simpler terms, the general consensus among critics is that “Don’t Say a Word” is professionally produced, but it follows a predictable pattern and contains instances that strain credulity, often leading to cringeworthy scenes.

The Houston Chronicle deemed the movie as highly engaging, whereas CNN labeled it as a skillfully made suspenseful film that doesn’t introduce any fresh concepts but offers a captivating detour with convincing plot twists and a thrilling conclusion.

According to the BBC, an intelligent screenplay and excellent acting take a simple idea and transform it into a fulfilling thriller.

Nevertheless, Slate described it as a chaotic and noisy spectacle, with a major blunder at its core. On the other hand, the Washington Post found Don’t Say a Word to be just as foreseeable, worn-out, and unpalatable as its plot idea implies.

According to the New York Post, this film with its complexities, might be just another ordinary movie that you could watch while catching up on your bills when you eventually stream it on HBO.

Don’t Say a Word is streaming now on Prime Video.
