Seal Becomes a Seal in Hilarious Super Bowl Ad with Becky G – Fans Can’t Stop Talking!

In an unusual Mountain Dew Super Bowl commercial, singer Seal metamorphosed into a real-life seal, sharing the stage with performer Becky G.

61-year-old songwriter collaborated with the 27-year-old American performer, both lending their star power to an unforgettable advertising campaign for the new flavor of Baha Blast by the soft drink company.

In a showcase of both his comedic timing and vocal prowess, Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel (better known as Seal) demonstrated his humor was sharp as his singing skills, by portraying his namesake animal in a comical skit. This amusing segment is scheduled to be broadcast during the Super Bowl on February 9th.

On Instagram, posted on Wednesday, an advertisement features singer-songwriter Becky lounging in her kitchen. Suddenly, a man clad in a furry green coat and sunglasses glides into view and presents her with a Mountain Dew Baha Blast.

After taking a quick drink, Becky finds herself mysteriously whisked away to a lush tropical island, where she boards a fast speedboat alongside fellow travelers.

The woman admired it as ‘refreshing,’ while the man dressed in greenery proudly spoke of the drink, guiding the boat towards a sizable rock inhabited by a group of seals.

In that instant, the melody of Seal’s famous 1994 ballad “Kiss From a Rose” starts to resonate, followed by a close-up of a substantial sea creature resembling a seal perched atop a cliff.

Later, the seal appears with the vocalist’s visage skillfully superimposed onto it. Then, in an unexpected turn of events, it breaks into a performance of the well-known tune.

Nevertheless, the words have been reworked to advertise Mountain Dew, as Seal the seal sings: ‘Baby, I liken it to a kiss from a lime on the shore. Oh, the more I ponder, it seems peculiar, for I’m a seal, indeed.’

‘My flippers can’t hold Mountain Dew, it slips right on through, what a shame’. 

The offbeat advertisement proceeds, depicting the chilling sight of orca fins encircling a speedboat as Becky and her companions watch anxiously with apprehension.

But then Seal continues his song, with his high note soon driving the killer whales away.

Watching the scenes, Becky then adds: ‘Well, this is the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen!’

Meanwhile, although the unusual commercial puzzled quite a few viewers, causing them to furrow their brows, numerous others found themselves captivated by the spectacle. In fact, one viewer exclaimed it as “the most fantastic thing I’ve ever laid eyes on.

Through comments on Instagram, fans expressed, “I can’t say how much money Seal earned from this advertisement, but if I had to guess, it was probably tripled.

‘Forever proud of Becky & also, whomever thought about this concept is hilarious & needs a raise.’

In the meantime, Leni Klum, Seal’s adopted daughter, expressed her thoughts: “I thought the song couldn’t sound any more amazing!!!

The title of the ad on Instagram is: “Directly from us to you, the refreshing ‘Kiss From A Lime’ is now available! It promises to stir emotions within and delight your senses. #ShareAKissFromALime #TasteTheDifference

The Super Bowl scheduled for February 9 will pit the Philadelphia Eagles against the Kansas City Chiefs.
