Sea of Thieves Season 13 Now Live With the Return of Captain Flameheart’s Ship, the Burning Blade

Sea of Thieves Season 13 Now Live With the Return of Captain Flameheart's Ship, the Burning Blade

As a seasoned Sea of Thieves gamer, I’ve sailed through countless adventures and battles on the vast oceans. But nothing compares to the thrill of Season 13! The return of Captain Flameheart and his terrifying Burning Blade have brought a new level of excitement to this game that has kept me hooked for hours.

Today marks the start of Sea of Thieves Season 13 with the return of Captain Flameheart, who’s been plotting in secrecy for quite some time. His objective: domination over the seas. Armed with ancient knowledge, he intends to uncover long-lost secrets. To execute his scheme effectively, Captain Flameheart has two powerful weapons at his disposal – his ship, the Burning Blade, and you as an unwitting ally or adversary.

In Season 13, the Burning Blade ship sails the seas, emitting flames instead of sails. Its crew consists of Obsidian Skeletons. You have the opportunity to join Flameheart’s team by taking control of his flagship, but first, you must put out its fire. Essentially, this entails swearing allegiance to Flameheart. The benefits are definitely worth it.

As a passionate fan, I can’t help but be thrilled about the acquisition of The Burning Blade! This magnificent vessel is equipped with an impressive arsenal of ten cannons, a dedicated skeleton crew, and a unique treasure: the Obsidian Ashen Winds Skull kept in its hold. To top it all off, The Burning Blade boasts an Ashen Roar fireball launcher proudly displayed at its bow. This formidable ship is truly a remarkable addition to any pirate’s fleet.

Performing more rituals with the Burning Blade increases its worth when you eventually return it to Flameheart, resulting in a substantial reward at The Reaper’s Hideout. Another option is to sink the Burning Blade and seize its treasures, which include the exceptional Blade of Souls as an exclusive reward, allowing you to ignite enemies.

If you aren’t affiliated with Flameheart, you can still travel to the Ancient Temples to obtain the Orb of Secrets. This artifact is valuable and can be sold at the nearest Trading Company for a substantial profit. Additionally, Season 13 introduces new Commendations and 100 levels of Seasonal Renown to earn. These accomplishments grant unique cosmetics, gold, Doubloons, and Ancient Coins as rewards. For those who wish to receive additional incentives, an optional Plunder Pass is available for purchase.

Among the offerings are the Eclipse Edition ship bundle, complete with Collector’s pieces, an Eclipse Hat, Jacket, and Gloves, plus 750 Ancient Coins to offset Pass expenses. Additionally, the Pirate Emporium provides five distinct types of tropical pet toucans and a new Radiant Comet cosmetic set featuring “stained glass design,” multiple weapons, and the Runway Emote Package.

Sea of Thieves Season 13 is live now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PC.
