The new serial killer film Psycho Killer is just days away from being released on digital platforms.
20th Century Studios announced that Psycho Killer will be available to rent or buy digitally on April 7th. You’ll be able to find it on platforms like Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home. There are currently no plans for a DVD or Blu-ray release.
Gavin Polone’s 2026 horror film is based on a screenplay by Andrew Kevin Walker. Polone has a diverse background in television and film, previously working as an executive producer on popular shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Gilmore Girls. He also produced films such as Panic Room, Zombieland, and A Dog’s Purpose, and directed episodes of series including Jane By Design, Twisted, and Finding Carter. This new movie marks Polone’s first time directing a full-length feature film.
Walker is famous for writing the screenplays for the 1995 crime thriller Se7en and Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow, as well as several other films. He’s currently working on Flesh of the Gods, an upcoming vampire thriller starring Kristen Stewart and Wagner Moura. Walker, Roy Lee, Matt Berenson, and Arnon Milchan all served as producers on the project.
Georgina Campbell plays Officer Jane Archer in Psycho Killer, a film where she investigates her husband’s murder while pursuing justice. As she digs deeper, Archer realizes the case is far more complex than she imagined, and the serial killer she’s tracking has a disturbing and difficult-to-understand motive. The story unfolds from both Archer’s perspective and that of the killer.
Neve Campbell is an award-winning actress known for her roles in popular shows and films like Murdered by My Boyfriend, Broadchurch, Black Mirror, Krypton, His Dark Materials, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, and Bird Box Barcelona. She stars alongside James Preston Rogers, Malcolm McDowell, Logan Miller, Grace Dove, Nigel Shawn Williams, and David Tomlinson in the new film Psycho Killer.
Released in February 2026, the thriller Psycho Killer opened at number 11, earning $1.6 million in its first weekend. The film has since made a total of $2.5 million, despite having a $10 million production budget. Critics didn’t respond well to Psycho Killer, initially giving it a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. While the score has slightly improved to 10%, audiences currently give it a 37% rating.
Reviewers heavily criticized the film’s editing and the noticeably poor dubbing of dialogue. Many questioned how the writer, known for acclaimed scripts like Se7en, ended up working on Psycho Killer. The one bright spot, according to critics, was Campbell’s performance as Jane Archer.
Despite a disappointing performance in theaters and negative reviews, 20th Century Studios will soon release the thriller Psycho Killer on digital platforms, giving horror fans a chance to watch it at home.
