It was announced earlier this year that Scrubs is returning to screens.
Before the show’s comeback, stars Sarah Chalke, John C. McGinley, and Christa Miller were joined by creator Bill Lawrence at the Paley Honors Fall Gala held Monday evening at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Sarah, age 49, starred as Elliot Reid on the medical comedy series that aired on NBC and ABC from 2001 to 2010, and still looked as youthful as when she started acting.
Bill Lawrence, the creator of the TV show Scrubs, attended with his wife, Christa Miller. Miller also appeared on Scrubs as Jordan, the wife of the character Dr. Perry Cox.
John C. McGinley, the 66-year-old actor who famously played Dr. Cox, was at the event and looked stylish in a suit as he posed for photos with his colleagues.

Following her role on Scrubs, Sarah became known for her parts in How I Met Your Mother and the animated series Rick and Morty. Most recently, she starred with Katherine Heigl in the Netflix drama Firefly Lane.
Bill, the creator of the show Scrubs, recently told CNN he’s thrilled about the possibility of reuniting with the original cast and crew, as the show holds a special place in his heart.
The beloved medical comedy is returning to television after a 15-year hiatus, with all the original cast members set to reprise their roles. The news was announced in July.
ABC, the network that broadcast the show’s final two seasons, revealed this week that the popular series will be getting a fresh start, according to CNN.
The new series will be broadcast in 2025-2026, according to the outlet.
Leading actors Zach Braff and Donald Faison, who are reprising their roles in the show’s revival, were noticeably absent from the red carpet event.

Zach Braff, now 50, is still working as an actor and director. He’s known for playing the charming J.D. Dorian, and he gained further recognition for his critically praised film, Garden State, which he both starred in and directed. More recently, he appeared in the series Shrinking with Jason Segel and Harrison Ford.
He also directed A Good Person in 2023, which starred Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman.
Scrubs aired for nine seasons, from 2001 to 2010, and followed the experiences of J.D., a new doctor at the made-up Sacred Heart Hospital.
Turk, played by Donald, and Elliot, portrayed by Sarah, are his closest friends and colleagues from college, and they all work together as doctors at the hospital. Elliot is also someone he has a complicated romantic connection with.

I’m so excited for the reboot! From what I’ve read, it looks like we’re finally going to see JD and Turk working side-by-side again – they haven’t scrubbed in together for ages, and CNN shared that detail, which just made my day!
Though the hospital and its staff have evolved, the strong friendship between certain doctors remains constant. Both familiar and new characters face the challenges and joys of working at Sacred Heart, with plenty of unexpected moments along the way.
Bill has been teasing a reboot of the popular show for years.
He told LadBible in August 2024 that they’re planning to move forward with it, mainly because everyone has been having fun together.
‘I think we’ll figure it out in the next six months or so, what we want to do.’
