Dune (1984) 4K Special Edition

Show someone special how much they mean to you with the 4K version of David Lynch’s Dune. This edition features a newly restored film, two brand-new audio commentaries from experts, and lots of behind-the-scenes documentaries about this beloved sci-fi movie.

Stay on Target Mug

Palpatine is aware of my need for coffee first thing in the morning – I can’t function without at least a couple of cups! This great mug serves as a reminder of why I need that coffee: to quickly power through whatever I need to do, whether it’s something huge like destroying a massive space station or just responding to a simple email.

Good Is Dumb Shirt

Everyone loves Star Wars, and all the related merchandise is fine, but Spaceballs is the franchise that’s really exciting right now – especially with a new sequel in the works after almost 40 years! What better way to celebrate the original movie than with a t-shirt featuring its most famous line? (It’s possible some people won’t recognize it’s a parody these days, but that’s okay.)

Predator 4-Movie Collection

I was really excited to see Predator: Badlands bring so many old fans, like myself, back to the Predator universe. Because of that, I immediately wanted to own the Blu-ray box set with the first four films! It’s got everything – the original Predator, Predator 2, Predators, and The Predator – plus a ton of cool special features that give you a deeper look behind the scenes.

Raiders of the Lost Ark Vinyl Soundtrack

I’m a huge fan of movie soundtracks, and I have to say, ScreenCrush has an amazing selection of vinyl records! They’ve got tons of classics, especially from John Williams, who is just incredible. But if you’re a film score lover like me, you absolutely need the vinyl for Raiders of the Lost Ark. Seriously, it just feels right – like it’s the kind of music Indiana Jones would have been listening to on record back in 1936!

The Return of the Blues Brothers: The Escape of Joliet Jake

As a huge fan of The Blues Brothers, I was thrilled to discover a brand new official sequel came out this year! It’s a prequel, actually, set in 1997 – thankfully before the events of Blues Brothers 2000. The story follows Jake Blues on another wild chase after escaping from prison. What’s really cool is that it was co-written by the children of two key figures from the original: Luke Pisano, Judy Belushi’s son, and Stella Aykroyd, Dan Aykroyd’s daughter. Dan even wrote the foreword! It’s a hardcover book that continues the adventures of that iconic rhythm and blues band that first started as a hilarious sketch on Saturday Night Live.

Batman: The Complete Animated Series Box Set

Few animated series from the 1990s remain as captivating as Batman: The Animated Series. Its unique visual style, set in a retro-futuristic world, still looks fantastic after three decades. The show’s stories are also remarkably well-written and are considered some of the best ever told about Batman. This 12-disc collection includes commentary tracks, a new behind-the-scenes feature, and the full-length films Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero.

The DC Comics Encyclopedia, New Edition

Looking for a way to get your kids into comics? Books like The DC Comics Encyclopedia are a great place to start! They feature amazing illustrations and simple explanations of who all the famous heroes and villains of DC are. It’s even a helpful refresher for adults who haven’t read DC Comics in a while.

DC Comics Super Heroes: The Filmation Adventures Vol. 1

Looking for a unique DC gift for a fan who already has the classics like Batman: The Animated Series and a DC guidebook? Consider this collection of lesser-known cartoons from the Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure. It features early adventures of heroes like the Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman, and the Atom, plus bonus films with the Justice League and Teen Titans.

Xeno’s Hoodie

Worried about aliens landing? Don’t be! New Xeno’s are here – packed with tasty, fruity flavors. And if you happen to find yourself facing a dangerous alien, this hoodie will keep you cozy even during a quick escape!

100 Years of Warner Bros. Vol. 4 Box Set

To celebrate Warner Bros.’ 100 years, the studio has released special box sets featuring their most popular films. Volume 4, focused on thrillers, sci-fi, and horror, is especially impressive. It includes iconic movies like King Kong, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner, The Shining, Goodfellas, The Matrix, and Inception, along with collectible pins and a book filled with behind-the-scenes details and rare photos. It’s a fantastic gift idea for anyone who’s getting tired of streaming and wants to start building a collection of physical movies.

Nintendo Switch 2

Everyone’s talking about this new game console, and it even includes Mario Kart World! If you’re thinking of getting one as a gift for me, I definitely wouldn’t mind. It would be a huge help and save me from trying to track one down for my kids.

Cozy and Nostalgic Movies About Family

Meet the Parents

As a film buff, I always enjoy revisiting Ben Stiller’s Meet the Parents from 2000. It perfectly captures that uniquely stressful experience of meeting your future in-laws for the first time. The movie follows a guy visiting his girlfriend’s family home for a wedding, and it’s just a really fun, relatable look at family chaos and those classic misunderstandings. It’s hilarious watching the main character get completely flustered by his girlfriend’s overprotective, slightly unhinged father – Robert De Niro is brilliant! But beyond the comedy, there’s a real warmth to it, thanks to the cozy Long Island setting and that lovely autumnal vibe. It just feels familiar, you know? We’ve all been in Greg’s shoes at some point!

Father of the Bride

“Father of the Bride” is a feel-good movie that’s ideal for watching with the family. This 1991 film humorously and touchingly portrays a father’s struggle to come to terms with his daughter growing up as she plans her wedding – a situation many parents can relate to. Steve Martin is wonderfully funny and heartwarming as the father, and Diane Keaton provides a lovely, supportive presence as the mother. With its charmingly nostalgic early ’90s vibe and sweet story, it’s a comforting and enjoyable film to watch again and again.

Uncle Buck

Few things are as comforting as watching John Candy at his best. While Planes, Trains & Automobiles is often considered his signature fall film, Uncle Buck from 1989 is another wonderful choice – it’s like a warm embrace on a cold night. The movie centers around a carefree bachelor who unexpectedly has to look after his nieces and nephew (and it’s a treat to see a young Macaulay Culkin!). It’s hilariously chaotic as Uncle Buck learns to handle real responsibility, but the film’s heartwarming family story, endearing characters, and nostalgic 80s vibe leave you feeling cozy and happy.

The Parent Trap

This charming 1998 update to the Disney classic The Parent Trap centers around the importance of family. Lindsay Lohan shines as both Hallie and Annie Parker, twin sisters separated at birth who hilariously plot to bring their divorced parents back together. Filled with ’90s charm and a cozy setting – from summer camp to a picturesque vineyard and stylish, natural looks – The Parent Trap is a heartwarming and enjoyable movie for the whole family.

Cheaper by the Dozen

Raising a family is always a little chaotic, but the Baker family in the 2003 movie Cheaper by the Dozen takes it to a whole new level with their twelve energetic kids! The film follows Steve Martin and Helen Hunt as a loving couple juggling a move, new jobs, and the everyday challenges of a large family. For anyone who grew up watching it in the late ’90s and early 2000s – and it’s a remake of a 1950 film – Cheaper by the Dozen is a fun blast from the past. (Who could forget Hilary Duff as a frustrated teenager and Ashton Kutcher as the charming, but slightly vain, older brother?)

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids

The 1989 film Honey, I Shrunk the Kids is a beloved ’80s comedy about Wayne Szalinski, a quirky inventor played by Rick Moranis, who accidentally shrinks his children to the size of bugs. Many kids who grew up in the ’90s remember watching this classic movie over and over on VHS.

The Family Stone

The movie The Family Stone, released in 2005 and starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel McAdams, and the late Diane Keaton, hilariously portrays the awkwardness that happens when you introduce your partner to your family. It’s a warm and relatable drama about family dynamics, focusing on the clashes that occur when a reserved girlfriend meets her boyfriend’s quirky and close-knit family during the hectic holiday season – a situation many can relate to!

Look Who’s Talking

It’s rare to find movies quite like Look Who’s Talking these days. This charmingly cheesy 1989 comedy stars John Travolta and Kirstie Alley and tells the story of a woman navigating love and life, all narrated by her surprisingly witty baby (voiced by Bruce Willis). It’s a lighthearted, feel-good movie with a nostalgic late ’80s vibe, a likeable cast, and a heartwarming message about what truly matters in family.

Click

When Click was released in 2006, reviews were mixed. The film follows a workaholic who uses a magical remote to skip ahead in his life, and ultimately delivers a message about cherishing the present and valuing life’s moments. While the Adam Sandler comedy features some silly and sometimes crude humor – notably, a recurring joke about the family dog – it’s gained renewed appreciation over time for its touching story and surprisingly emotional depth, especially its focus on the importance of family.

Mrs. Doubtfire

Few movies evoke as much nostalgia as Mrs. Doubtfire. This heartwarming 1993 comedy tells the story of a father who disguises himself as a British nanny so he can still be a part of his children’s lives after a divorce. The film beautifully highlights the importance of family and how far parents will go for their kids. Featuring a fantastic cast including Sally Field, Mara Wilson, and Pierce Brosnan, Mrs. Doubtfire is especially memorable thanks to the late Robin Williams, who delivers a uniquely warm and iconic performance.
