Scream queen Kate Siegel to star in new dark comedy Damned If You Do

As a hardcore horror fan with years of experience under my belt, I’m beyond excited to hear that Kate Siegel, one of my favorite scream queens, is taking on a new project – a dark comedy called “Damned If You Do.” I’ve been following Siegel’s career since her breakout role in “The Fall of the House of Usher,” and I’ve been impressed by her versatility and talent in every horror-based film or show she’s been a part of, including “The Haunting of Hill House,” “Bly Manor,” and “Midnight Mass.” I can’t wait to see what she brings to the table in this new genre.

One of our beloved horror actresses, Kate Siegel from “The Fall of the House of Usher,” has announced her next venture. She will both star in and serve as executive producer for an upcoming dark comedy titled “Damned If You Do.” Learn more about this project below.

I, as a dedicated gamer and horror enthusiast, am well-acquainted with the captivating performances of actress Carla Gugino. Beyond her chilling portrayal in “The Fall of the House of Usher,” her work in Netflix’s horror series has left an indelible mark on viewers. These include her spellbinding roles in “The Haunting of Hill House,” “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” and “Midnight Mass.” Additionally, I can’t forget her nail-biting appearances in the horror movies “Oculus,” “Hush,” “Ouija: Origin of Evil,” and “Gerald’s Game.”

We’ve appreciated Siegel’s horrifying roles in previous projects, but now we’re excited to witness her skills in a new genre. Given her exceptional acting abilities, we have high expectations for her upcoming part.

The film “Damned If You Do,” which is now being made, has Jake Rubin and Evan Metzold at the helm as co-directors. They wrote the screenplay in collaboration with Ellen Adair and Eric Gilde. This marks their first time directing a movie. Furthermore, they are listed as executive producers. Objectively Good Media is responsible for producing the film. Matthew R. Cooper and Uwakokunre (Kokie), representing OGM, are also producing, along with Lior Haas.

Having grown up watching movies that explored the fantastical and the dark, I was immediately drawn to this plot about a group of teenagers selling their souls to the devil. As a kid, I would often daydream about what I would do if I were given unlimited power or wealth, but this story adds an intriguing twist – with dire consequences.

So far, Siegel is the sole actress confirmed for the film, but her character remains a mystery at the moment. As soon as we discover who she’s portraying, we’ll be sure to update you. We’ll also keep you informed of any additional cast members that are announced.

According to Rubin and Metzold, as reported by Deadline, they were granted the chance to create this movie.

We feel very lucky to be working with such a talented and hilarious cast. They make our job easy and bring a wealth of experience to the table that has helped to elevate an already spectacular script. Between our incredible cast and crew, we have formed a remarkable team that truly feels like family, and we are excited to collaborate with this group on our debut feature.
