Scream 7 is bringing back one of horror’s most iconic killers
Scream 7 is set to bring back one of the horror franchise’s most iconic killers.
As reported by Entertainment Weekly, the upcoming sequel is set to bring back Matthew Lillard’s character Stu Macher, who donned the Ghostface mask alongside his criminal partner Billy Loomis (portrayed by Skeet Ulrich) in the original 1996 movie.
Without a doubt, it appeared as though Stu had met his end during the movie. This was due to Billy stabbing him prior to Neve Campbell’s character, Sidney Prescott, crushing his head with a television.
Yet, it was thought that Hayden Panettiere’s character, Kirby Reed, had perished prior to reappearing in Scream 6. Thus, any outcome could occur.
It’s more probable that Stuart might manifest as a hallucination, much like Billy did in “Scream” when he appeared to his daughter Sam (played by Melissa Barrera) as a mental image.
As I excitedly shared the news of my comeback on Instagram, I couldn’t resist posting a cryptic video with a nod to the classic horror flick, Scream. The quote, “I’m gonna have to face my parents’ wrath now!”, seemed fitting for the moment, as they might not be too thrilled about me getting back into the gaming world so soon.
According to Entertainment Weekly reports, it’s confirmed that Scott Foley, known for his chilling role as the murderer Roman Bridger in Scream 3, is set to reappear in Scream 7.
It’s plausible that, given Roman was gravely wounded by a gunshot to the head and apparently deceased at the movie’s close, he may manifest as a figment of someone’s imagination in future scenes.
As a passionate horror movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the highly anticipated “Scream 7” has commenced filming this month. Notably, the iconic character Sidney Prescott, portrayed by Neve Campbell, will once again grace our screens after she decided to sit out “Scream 6.
The movie will reprise the roles of Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers and Mason Gooding as Chad Meeks-Martin. Additionally, we have some fresh faces joining the cast, including Isabel May from the Yellowstone prequel, Anna Camp, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, and Sam Rechner.
Scream 7 will be released in cinemas on February 27, 2026.
