Scream 6 is now available to watch on Netflix
As a gamer with decades of horror movie marathons under my belt, I must say that the addition of Scream VI to Netflix is like finding a rare collectible in a sea of commonplace content. The film’s New York setting and the return of familiar faces from the franchise make it a must-watch for any self-proclaimed slasher aficionado.
Scream VI is now available to watch on Netflix.
In the past year, the sixth movie in the slasher franchise was released, focusing on four individuals who had survived the Ghostface killings, now embarking on new lives in New York after leaving Woodsboro behind.
Yet, they swiftly discover themselves embroiled in a life-or-death struggle as a fresh murderer unleashes a brutal spree of violence.
Today, December 6th, the movie has been made available on the streaming service in both the United Kingdom and Ireland. For those in the U.S., you can stay updated with the action through Paramount+.
If you’re not currently a Netflix user and have an interest in horror content, consider becoming a subscriber! You can opt for their budget-friendly ad-supported plan starting at £4.99 per month, or upgrade to the standard (no ads) plan for £10.99 monthly, or splurge on the premium plan for £17.99 a month. Enjoy your horror viewing experience!
Under the guidance of directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, this chilling slasher movie features Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega reprising their roles as Sam and Tara Carpenter, respectively. Additionally, Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown join the cast as siblings Chad and Mindy Meeks-Martin.
As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t hide my excitement when I mention that an impressive lineup gathers in this movie. It features Courteney Cox, Dermot Mulroney, Samara Weaving, Henry Czerny, Jack Champion, and Hayden Panettiere. And guess what? It’s been a while since we’ve seen Kirby Reed, played by Hayden Panettiere, but she’s back in action, just like old times, since Scream 4.
In its initial release, Scream VI shattered previous franchise records by earning a staggering $44.5 million, making it the highest-grossing opening for the entire Scream series.
Since then, it’s accumulated more than $169 million globally, marking the first film in the series to surpass $100 million at the U.S. box office since 1997’s Scream 2 managed to achieve this milestone.
Following a disagreement about payment, Neve Campbell will reprise her role as Sidney Prescott in the upcoming movie, “Scream 7”.
As an enthusiastic moviegoer, I’m thrilled to share that a chilling horror film set for release in 2026 has just cast Isabel May from “1923” in the role of Sidney’s daughter. This exciting news comes after the departures of Barrera and Ortega.
Scream VI is now available to stream on Netflix in the UK and Ireland.
