Scrapped Deadpool & Wolverine Character Gets Officially Immortalized By Marvel

Hot Toys and Marvel have revealed a new collectible figure of Deadpool, based on a version from the movie Deadpool & Wolverine. The film featured a large-scale battle against multiple versions of Deadpool, known as the Deadpool Corps. Some of the standout variants included Lady Deadpool, Nicepool, Headpool, Kidpool, and Cowboypool. Ultimately, Peter (Deadpool) managed to stop the fight by appealing to their sense of camaraderie.

Hot Toys has unveiled its new Wolverinepool collectible figure, bringing to life a character originally conceived for the upcoming ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ movie but later cut. Wolverinepool was a unique version of Deadpool planned as part of the film, but ultimately didn’t make the final cut.

In Marvel comics, Wolverinepool is part of the Deadpool Corps. He comes from a different universe where Wade Wilson (Deadpool) was subjected to the Weapon X program – the same one that gave Wolverine his adamantium skeleton and healing factor.

In addition to having the incredible healing ability of Wade Wilson, Wolverinepool also has bones covered in the nearly indestructible metal adamantium, and claws he can extend at will.

Wolverinepool first appeared in the ‘Deadpool Kills Deadpool’ storyline, combining Deadpool’s funny, talkative personality with Wolverine’s fierce and unpredictable anger.

I was checking out David Masson’s Instagram – he’s a concept artist who worked on ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ – and he posted some seriously cool unused designs. One that really caught my eye was this mashup of Deadpool and Wolverine, which he’s calling ‘Wolverinepool’! It basically combined the best of both characters – Deadpool’s look with Wolverine’s claws and even had these wing-like extensions coming off his mask. It was a really interesting take, and I’m bummed we didn’t get to see it in the movie!

The new Hot Toys Deadpool figure is incredibly detailed and poseable, with 30 points of movement. It includes three different sets of eyes and updated armor that’s more rugged and protective than previous versions.

This Hot Toys figure perfectly captures the look of Masson’s Wolverinepool artwork, combining Deadpool’s signature red and black colors with Wolverine’s fierce, claw-based fighting style.

As a collector, I’m really excited about this Hot Toys figure! It’s super limited – only 2,000 are being made and sold in certain locations. What’s amazing is all the detail – it comes with eight different hands you can swap out, plus two katanas and a pair of pistols. Even cooler, the katanas attach magnetically to its back, which is a really neat touch!

These claws also have a cool, see-through slashing effect that can add a lot of visual impact to action poses.

This collectible figure comes with a display base designed to match the look of the Deadpool & Wolverine movie. The base includes the movie’s logo, a claw design, and the character’s name.

Directed by Shawn Levy, Deadpool and Wolverine premiered in theaters on July 26.

Will Wolverinepool Appear in Future MCU Movies?

Responding to popular fan requests, Hot Toys has created a detailed, one-sixth-scale collectible figure of Wolverinepool, playfully referencing the movie’s self-aware humor. This premium figure is a must-have for collectors wanting to create an impressive Deadpool display.

It’s currently unclear if we’ll ever see Wolverinepool in a movie or show, especially since the Multiverse Saga is coming to a close. With the end of What If…?, the chances seem even lower, as that series would have been a natural place to introduce the character, even just for a brief appearance.

Fans are hoping to see Wolverinepool appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, even if it’s just a quick cameo, a funny moment, or a hidden reference. Including him would be a fittingly wild ending to the Multiverse Saga, considering how important Deadpool and Wolverine have been to the story so far.
