After 21 years of marriage, Scott Wolf and his wife Kelley are headed for divorce.

The longtime couple wed back in 2004 and are parents to three children.

I, Kelly, shared a subtle message on Instagram yesterday, officially confirming my separation from the beloved actor from Party of Five, who is 57 years old.

In her message to followers, she expressed that, regretfully, Scott and herself are taking steps to end our marriage.

‘This has been a long, quiet journey for me—rooted in hope, patience, and care for our children.’

Kelly didn’t disclose the cause behind their separation initially, but she talked about healing and experiencing liberation in the subsequent phase of her life.

Additionally, she described Scott as an exceptional partner whom any woman would be fortunate to share life with. She then kindly requested that everyone respect their family’s need for privacy.

In a subsequent statement, Kelley shared: “Although I won’t disclose specifics, I find comfort in my conviction that I’ve walked this journey maintaining honesty and kindness.

Scott Wolf is an exceptional father and partner whom I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. He embodies kindness, thoughtfulness, wit, and possesses a beautiful soul.

‘We both look forward to an extraordinary life centered around the most extraordinary children.

‘My priority has always been their wellbeing—and my own healing. That will never change.

‘I am stepping into a chapter of peace, freedom, and protection—with grace,’ Kelley wrote.

‘Thank you to the many friends, family, and professionals who have held space for me with love.

Could you kindly honor our privacy as we navigate through this period. Let’s keep in mind that healing is not something to be broadcasted, but rather a private and sacred process, she finished.

In addition to her heartfelt message, Kelley also attached an AI-created picture showing a majestic lioness surrounded by three soaring eagles.

Scott has yet to publicly address his and Kelley’s shock split. 

Immediately, many fans rushed to comment on Kelley’s post, with one person confessing that they ‘felt it (the divorce) was imminent.’

It’s always unfortunate to learn that a lovely couple isn’t able to stay together. May your hearts find peace, my friend.

Many marveled at maturity with which Kelley handled the divorce announcement.

A week before they announced their divorce last Tuesday, Scott and Kelly celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary together.

The couple did not publicly honor the milestone on their respective social media pages.

Last year, during their 20th wedding anniversary tribute, Kelly revealed something troubling about Scott.

The well-known reality TV personality disclosed that during their early engagement, she contemplated leaving due to Scott’s behavior of subtly provoking and questioning her.

At first, I thought it was just stress or learning about someone’s quirks, Kelley wrote. But then, a familiar sensation returned, one that I hadn’t appreciated in the past and had put significant effort into understanding, healing, and recognizing if it reappeared.

The sensation was one of betraying oneself. It was a sense of contorting myself to fit someone else’s needs, despite being certain that I hadn’t done anything wrong.

She said that she previously experienced ‘this feeling’ in a past ‘toxic relationship.’ 

In her own words, she expressed that an old behavior had resurfaced in her, where she felt compelled to adapt and minimize any potential irritants, hoping it would keep him close. But one day, she abruptly stopped, realizing she had played this same game before, and decided not to repeat the pattern again.

Kelley remembered removing her engagement ring and giving it to Scott, then saying, “I won’t stay here while someone digs up flaws about me.

After turning around, I started walking toward the exit, a move reminiscent of times past in my life. Just as I’ve done before, I found myself prepared to step out the door, accompanied by the girl whom I had vowed to rescue.

In a situation where she might have been lost to him forever, Kelly stated that Scott took action and battled for their relationship to continue.

‘But, this love story wasn’t over. Scott looked at me, and some thing happened…

According to Kelley, he had said, “I truly think you’re going to depart. I trust your decision. I sense it. I perceive it. But under no circumstances will I allow it to transpire, so let’s proceed together.

Let’s tackle the challenging, awkward part. The part that requires me to face myself, recognize my old habit of finding flaws in others so I can validate my belief that no one is capable of handling tough tasks and staying committed.

It’s common knowledge that our behaviors are shaped by our life experiences. However, Scott didn’t have an example of what true LOVE actually looks like.

After that significant moment, I found myself feeling even stronger ties with Scott. We were not only closer emotionally but also had a clearer understanding of the commitment we were preparing to make to one another.

She expressed that their wedding day was filled with enchantment and optimism, and nearly leaving beforehand served as a pivotal moment, shaping numerous aspects of their 20-year romantic journey.

She expressed that marriage, friendships, and all types of relationships are like a dance – they don’t follow a straightforward path, but instead have unexpected turns, ups and downs, and moments of intrigue.

One key lesson we shared that day was this: In order to fully love another person, it’s essential to love oneself deeply first.

Indeed, much like any captivating tale of love, I too find myself consistently opting for the potent force of love in my life’s journey.
