Scott Eastwood reveals how dad Clint, 95, is doing after tragic death of his longtime girlfriend: ‘He’s a survivor’

Clint Eastwood just hit a major milestone, turning 95 on May 31.

For approximately a year now, the longtime companion of the Oscar-winning individual, Christina Sandera, has tragically passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 61.

The son of the actor known for “Million Dollar Baby”, Scott (age 39), provided an update about his father. He reported that his father is currently in a positive state and emphasized that he is a strong individual who overcomes challenges, being both resilient and persistent.

Scott added that the Gran Torino actor is not one to express deep emotions or complain.

Scott shared with People that he was born during the Great Depression and grew up during World War II, experiencing much hardship throughout his early years.

In the interview published on May 30, Clint expressed that there’s no justification preventing a man from improving as he grows older.

He confidently asserted, “I have accumulated even greater expertise over time, unlike some directors who may lose their edge. However, I am fortunate enough to say that I am not among those.

In the earlier part of this year, someone inquired about the insights Scott gained concerning resilience from his father. He responded by saying that resilience seems to run through their veins, implying they don’t dwell on complaints or whining, but instead, they take action.

He emerged into the world during the Great Depression and grew up during World War II, witnessing much hardship. His experiences leave little room for complaint.

Scott, who has Jacelyn Reeves as his mother, expressed his desire to collaborate with the person he finds inspiring, his father figure, once more, having had minor roles in Gran Torino and Invictus.

The medical records showing Sandera’s cause of death indicate it was due to an abnormal heart rhythm known as arrhythmia, and a spokesperson from the Monterey County Health Department affirmed this information.

Her death was also attributed to the presence of atherosclerosis in her coronary arteries, which is a contributing factor.

A condition arises when layers of fat, cholesterol, minerals like calcium, and other materials build up within artery walls, leading them to stiffen and shrink. This process reduces the flexibility of blood vessels throughout the body, potentially hindering proper blood circulation.

As a devoted follower of health and wellness, I understand that when these plaques within my arteries burst, they may create a potentially dangerous blood clot. This clot could significantly impede the smooth flow of blood, leading to a potential heart attack or stroke.

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter at the time of Christina’s passing, the actor from Dirty Harry expressed that she was an exceptionally kind and delightful woman. He further added that he would deeply mourn her absence.

A representative from Warner Bros stated that they won’t provide any additional details about Christina’s passing, as Clint prefers to mourn in seclusion.

They started dating in 2014, having met when he encountered Christina while she was employed as a hostess at the Clint’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.

At the 2015 Academy Awards, they first appeared on the red carpet together. Despite leading a fairly secluded lifestyle, Christina often accompanied Clint as his date for red carpet appearances.

In addition, she had a strong bond with his extended family. In 2018, she attended the premiere of his movie “The Muse” alongside three of his eight children, his granddaughter, and his first wife, Margaret Johnson.
