As a big fan of the FBI franchise, I just watched the trailer for season 8 and it looks like Scola is in serious trouble! It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster for the show lately, though. CBS surprisingly cancelled FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International – both were really popular! – which means for next season, we’re just getting the original FBI show. It’s a smaller universe now, that’s for sure.

The FBI team has seen significant changes, particularly since Tiffany’s departure. Following her exit, Scola was without a consistent partner while the show explored different characters to replace Katherine Kane. Currently, Juliana Aidén Martinez’s Eva Ramos is working alongside Scola. However, just as his partnership becomes stable, another storyline is creating new challenges.

I just watched the new trailer for FBI Season 8, Episode 7, and things are getting intense! It looks like the New York team is investigating a case inside a prison, but their operation hits some serious snags. The trailer shows Scola getting stuck in the facility with the inmates, and it doesn’t look good – we even see him getting attacked. The episode “Fadeout” begins with an explosion at a Brooklyn apartment building. The surprising part? The crime was started by someone already in prison. This leads Scola and his team to investigate at the penitentiary, where they must figure out if the chaos they encounter is connected to the crime or just bad luck.

Okay, so it’s good to know that whatever’s threatening Scola isn’t about someone holding a grudge – it’s just the inherent danger that comes with being in law enforcement. Honestly, this whole situation feels like a perfect setup for Nina to return in season 8 of FBI. With FBI: Most Wanted gone, the original FBI is really the only place that makes sense for her character to land at this point.

In addition to the ongoing case and the situation with Scola, the seventh episode of FBI season 8 will put Isobel in a difficult position. Following her dangerous experience at the end of last season, she’s earned a comfortable promotion, but now she needs to choose someone to take her place. She believes Jubal is the best fit, but internal office conflicts are creating uncertainty.
