Schitt’s Creek star’s new Netflix series gets release date

Many people first discovered the hit show Schitt’s Creek on Netflix, so it’s exciting that its star and creator, Dan Levy, is returning to the platform with a new series called Big Mistakes. This show, created with Rachel Sennott (known for Bottoms), centers around two siblings who get caught up in organized crime after being blackmailed.

Levy will act with Taylor Ortega, known for her role in Ghosts US, and Laurie Metcalf, who starred in Roseanne, The Conners, and Lady Bird, playing the role of his mother.

The show’s release date, April 9th, was revealed on Instagram with a picture of a billboard on Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. The date was playfully displayed as a pendant on a sparkly necklace – quite a glamorous announcement!

The post hinted at more news, and Levy followed through by sharing pictures of the cast wearing miniature versions of the necklace revealing the release date. He also announced the first trailer will be released tomorrow, March 12th.

Last year, when the show was first announced, the actor shared with Tudum their excitement about bringing this wild and unpredictable family story to Netflix.

In August, Levy posted photos with his fellow cast members, announcing that filming for the show had begun. He excitedly shared, “BIG MISTAKES is now in production. Get ready! Amazing team, amazing experience.”
