The world of Schiaparelli sees the human body as a source of artistic inspiration, a way to tell imaginative, sculpted stories. For the Spring/Summer 2026 Ready-to-Wear collection, titled “The Anatomy of Desire,” Creative Director Daniel Roseberry is exploring this idea further. Inspired by the bold vision of Schiaparelli’s founder, Elsa, the new collection turns parts of the human form into striking and luxurious fashion pieces.

The current interest in fashion inspired by anatomy began with the innovative Surrealist designs of 1930s Paris. Designer Elsa Schiaparelli, greatly inspired by Salvador Dalí, famously created clothing and accessories shaped like body parts – eyes, lips, hands, and ears – turning them into striking fashion statements. From her well-known 1938 Skeleton Dress to clever illusion accessories, she used the human body to express creativity, fun, and a bit of rebellion.

Roseberry continues to use a detailed and visually compelling style in the Spring/Summer 2026 collection. The clothing features bold, eye-catching designs, like soft leather dresses and tops adorned with detailed bust patterns inspired by the Schiaparelli archives.

The collection’s accessories playfully explore the human form. A bold choker features sculpted, intertwined hands in gold, and clutches are shaped like sculpted lips with faux piercings. Abstract facial features appear throughout the brand’s signature leather goods, including the Mini Face bag, and the Soufflé and Soufflé Baguette bags, which have handles made from colorful, anatomical-inspired jewelry.

Daniel Roseberry continues to reimagine the human body through stunning design, blending inspiration from historical archives with contemporary luxury. The new Schiaparelli Spring/Summer 2026 collection, titled “Anatomy of Desire,” is now available at the Schiaparelli store in Paris and at select retailers around the world, including locations in New York and Hong Kong.
