The trailer for Scary Movie 6 is out, and fans are already calling it a masterpiece! The movie, which hits theaters on June 12th, brings back Anna Faris and Regina Hall as their famous characters, Cindy Campbell and Brenda Meeks, for the sixth installment in the hilarious parody series.
The newest Scary Movie film is directed by Michael Tiddes, and the Wayans brothers – Marlon, Shawn, and Keenen Ivory – are back as the writers.
Shawn and Marlon Wayans are back as Ray and Shorty in the new film! They’ll be joined by familiar faces like Jon Abrahams, Lochlyn Munro, Cheri Oteri, Dave Sheridan, Anthony Anderson, and Chris Elliott, who are also returning for the project.
What to Read Next
Twenty-six years after escaping a masked killer who seems eerily familiar (known as “Ghostface”), the main group of friends are once again being targeted, and no horror franchise is secure.
Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, and Regina Hall are back in Scary Movie, joining both familiar and new cast members. They’re hilariously taking on the current trend of endless horror reboots, remakes, and sequels – including prequels, spin-offs, and anything trying to capitalize on a ‘legacy’ or claiming to be the ‘final’ installment when it clearly isn’t.

Everything is fair game. No comedic idea is off-limits. The Wayans family is returning to challenge the trend of ‘cancel culture’ and push boundaries.
The new trailer suggests the movie will playfully poke fun at recent horror films like Longlegs, Weapons, Terrifier 3, M3GAN, and The Substance.
The trailer begins with a nod to Scream 6, featuring a character playfully imitating Jasmin Savoy Brown’s character, Mindy.

Excited fans shared the news that Art the Clown from Terrifier will appear in the new Scary Movie. One user wrote, “Anna Faris and Regina Hall are going to be amazing – those characters are legendary!”
One fan expressed hope that this film will bring back the popularity of parody movies, saying they were really enjoyable in the past and perfectly suited to today’s entertainment trends.
Scary Movie 6 is released in cinemas on 12 June.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant, full-colour 100-page tribute to Taylor Swift, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online for only £8.99.
