As a lifelong fan of the Jurassic Park franchise, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming film, “Jurassic World Rebirth.” Growing up with the original films, they were more than just movies to me – they were adventures that transported me to far-off lands filled with wonder and danger.
The filming for the next Jurassic World series is now underway in New York City.
On a Saturday, Scarlett Johansson and Rupert Friend, two prominent figures in Jurassic World Rebirth, were seen filming a scene amidst the lively streets of New York City (Manhattan).
First off, following her preparation which included styling her hair, applying makeup, and choosing an outfit, the actress could be spotted heading towards the set. She was clad in a smart blue suit, paired with a crisp white blouse, white sneakers, and a pair of dark sunglasses.
In the back of an SUV, she was spotted recording alongside her fellow actor, who was at the wheel up front.
The upcoming sci-fi action movie, following closely behind Jurassic World Dominion released in 2022, marks the seventh installment of the Jurassic Park series and features an entirely fresh acting team spearheaded by Johansson.
A well-known British actor, recognized by many for his role in the political thriller series Homeland, appears calm and at ease during filming, seated upfront.
During breaks, the two actors engaged in multiple discussions, probably revolving around their ongoing project.
In the latest remake of the series, he takes on the character of Martin Krebs, a seasoned pharmaceutical salesman, whereas Johansson brings to life the character of Zora Bennett, an accomplished undercover operations specialist.
The event unfolded outside the Shake Shack eatery, where a team of at least four individuals wearing hazmat gear cleaned and sprayed a suspected sandy area.

According to Universal Pictures, as per Wikipedia, Zora Bennett, played by Johansson, is hired for a clandestine task: she assembles an elite group to retrieve genetic samples from Earth’s largest dinosaurs in a classified operation.

Gareth Edwards is currently directing, with a script penned by David Koepp, who collaborated on writing the initial Jurassic Park movies – specifically Jurassic Park from 1993 and The Lost World: Jurassic Park from 1997.
According to ComicBook.com, the screenplay is remarkably good. It was penned by David Koepp, who took up writing again after a long hiatus of approximately 30 years. His enthusiasm for this project is truly inspiring.
Johansson expressed her deep affection for the franchise, stating, “I’ve been a die-hard fan of this series for more than a decade, and I can hardly believe my luck!” She further shared her persistent efforts to join the franchise, saying, “For over 10 years, I’ve been trying every avenue to be part of it.
Once again, Steven Spielberg steps into his role as an executive producer for this collaborative project, a production that’s a result of partnership between Amblin Entertainment and Universal.
Filming started around mid-June in Thailand and continued for approximately a month before shifting to Kalkara, an island nation in the Mediterranean Sea situated in Southern Europe, where it carried on for another month.
Back then, my heart pounded as I followed the production’s journey – first to the hallowed grounds of Sky Studios Elstree, nestled in the heart of London, England, in August. After that, it was another thrilling chapter as we shifted gears, heading across the pond to the iconic New York City in late September for the fresh scenes they were capturing there.
As I eagerly count down the days, with every heartbeat pulsing with anticipation, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming release of Jurassic World: Rebirth, set to storm American theaters on July 2, 2025. The post-production magic is still underway, but every moment spent in the editing room brings us one step closer to experiencing the thrill of dinosaurs roaming once more!
