Scarlett Johansson Spills on Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco’s Oscars PDA

At the 2025 Oscar Awards held recently, Scarlett Johansson expressed her thoughts on Selena Gomez (age 32) and Benny Blanco (age 36), which she had observed during the event.

The Marvel star, 40, was seated next to the engaged couple at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.

After finishing their presentation for the Best Makeup and Hair Styling Oscar alongside June Squibb, aged 95, she disclosed some insights about their personality to the press.

I must admit, as I sit here with Selena and Benny, it’s clear they’re in the early stages of their relationship, radiating an adorable, newlywed charm,” Johansson said, giving her seal of approval. (People magazine)

On previous occasions, Scarlett has discussed the actor from Only Murders in the Building who is now engaged.

In a conversation on Today with Jenna and Her Friends in January, she expressed that although she doesn’t have a personal relationship with them, she now feels connected to the couple. She also referred to the pair as adorable.

Gomez and Blanco were at the Oscars to support Selena’s film Emilia Perez.

This past week, Selena posted a humorous ‘Get Ready With Me’ video where she tasked her future spouse with applying her makeup.

In the video, she was endorsing her Rare Beauty brand when Benny inquired about compact powders. (Or) Benny inquired about compact powders while she showcased her Rare Beauty line in the video.

‘Do I do it with my fingers?’ Benny asked. 

Selena, with her massive following of 654.8 million on social media, responded by saying, “Go ahead, even though there are brushes available!

Gomez appeared concerned when Blanco, known as Benjamin Levin, shared his plan to apply a brown liquid liner around her face.

‘Okay, okay, so like what am I contouring?’ the 11-time Grammy nominee laughed.

The popular Texan singer prepared herself as Benny excessively applied the contour makeup too high on her cheekbones.

Blanco remarked, “You often do things like this,” as he got a little too close with the smear near Selena’s nose. (The goal was to make the sentence easier to read and more natural in tone.)

‘Why isn’t it doing anything? When you do it it looks so good.’

The protege of Dr. Luke then gently dabbed lip balm onto Gomez’s rosy lips and sprinkled a few droplets of liquid illuminator across her well-tanned cheeks.

‘Oh that’s cute,’ Benny said putting highlighter on the tip of her nose.

The twice Grammy-nominated artist became intrigued when Blanco used an unusual colored highlighter, but unfortunately, he ended up spreading it across her jawline.

After being born in Virginia, the musician carefully doused himself with setting spray first, before applying it to Selena.

‘I think it looks pretty good,’ Benny concluded.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d share this intriguing piece of information like so: “I recently came across some fascinating figures about Gomez’s cosmetics company that’s five years old. Last year, Business of Fashion reported its valuation to be approximately $2 billion, with annual net sales surpassing the $400 million mark!
