Scarlett Johansson replaces Anne Hathaway in “tense and gritty” new movie

Scarlett Johansson will be replacing Anne Hathaway in the upcoming movie Paper Tiger.

Characterized as both “edgy” and “raw”, this film chronicles the story of two siblings who strive for the elusive American Dream, finding themselves ensnared in a perilous plot instead. As their schemes prove to be overly optimistic, they are compelled to maneuver through a realm of deceit and brutality.

With the Russian mafia causing distress to the duo and their loved ones, the strength of their relationship starts to weaken. What was once inconceivable – betrayal – now seems increasingly plausible.

Initially, “Paper Tiger” had Hathaway and Jeremy Strong lined up for the lead roles, but unfortunately, they had to withdraw because of conflicting schedules.

As reported by Deadline, the original duo has been swapped out, with Scarlett Johansson and Miles Teller now joining forces with Adam Driver in the upcoming project.

Next month, the film penned and helmed by James Gray will commence filming in New Jersey. The executive producers for this project are Lee Broda, Jeff Rice, Riccardo Maddalosso, and Emily Salveson.

In other locations, the new sci-fi film starring Johansson titled “Jurassic World Rebirth” is planned to hit theaters this summer. This fourth addition to the series unfolds five years after the happenings of 2022’s “Jurassic World Dominion”, with Johansson portraying Zora Bennett in her role.

According to the synopsis (from Variety), those that survive reside in remote equatorial regions, experiencing climates similar to where they originally flourished.

In a lush tropical environment, reside the three largest creatures, whose genetic material could unlock a life-saving drug for humanity. Expert in stealth missions, Zora Bennett, is hired to assemble a team of specialists and execute a clandestine operation to retrieve DNA samples from Earth’s three colossal dinosaurs.
