Savannah Chrisley says she attended White House meeting to ‘take over’ a political seat after parents’ release

Savannah Chrisley has revealed politics may be in her future, but not right now. 

In a recent disclosure, the woman known as “MAGA Barbie,” aged 28, shared that during her efforts to secure a presidential pardon for her parents, she was involved in clandestine talks regarding advancing Donald Trump’s America First (MAGA) policies further.

She shared with People magazine that she recently attended a discussion at the White House regarding a possible bid for a seat in Tennessee’s House of Representatives. However, she felt strongly that the current moment was not appropriate for such a move, as she was speaking during an interview to promote The Chrisleys: Back to Reality.

In my sincere confession, I couldn’t emanate the profound change I aspired for due to the fact that I was still navigating my own path of recovery and restoration.

‘I’m rebuilding and figuring out who I am and what I want out of life.’ 

The reality star said she would continue to pursue other ways to give back. 

At the 2024 National Republican Convention, Savannah expressed that a substantial platform and voice might enable one to bring about equal amounts of change from the outside rather than the inside. She added, “Who knows?”

It’s unclear what will happen with the Senate seat. Just as the pardon process seems mysterious to many, it often appears that everything happens for a reason-each connection we make, each handshake we exchange.

savannah’s parents, aged 56 (Todd) and 52 (Julie), were given jail sentences following the verdict of a jury who agreed upon their guilt in relation to bank and tax fraud involving approximately $30 million worth of fake loans. These loans had been used to fund their extravagant lifestyle.

On the August 5th edition of my beloved “Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley” podcast, the inspiring influencer opened up about the life-changing moment that sparked her interest in pursuing a career in public office – a decision that has me, her dedicated fan, absolutely thrilled!

In her own words, she expressed that the press conference she conducted on the day Todd was freed from prison, post his presidential pardon, sparked an understanding within her about what it could feel like to be a political figure.

She mentioned that there were at least one hundred vehicles present, and folks were giving her their infants. In fact, she ended up holding a bare-skinned baby in her arms, as stated by her description of the affection bestowed upon her by the spectators.

A small child persistently desired to clasp my hand and stay beside me, which made me feel as if I were Princess Diana in that instant.

Standing outside the prison during that press conference, as people approached me for hugs and conversations, I found myself reflecting: “Perhaps my future will be shaped differently than initially envisioned. Could it be that I might delve into politics?

Savannah says her parents’ experience has prompted her to lobby for prison reform. 

She remarked during the ABC News Studios’ IMPACT x Nightline special, “The Chrisleys: Life After Lockup”, in June, about the current state of the system where individuals requiring rehabilitation reside. In this context, she highlighted the need for mental health care, job opportunities, and advocacy on their behalf.

Starting September 1st and 2nd, a brand-new season of “The Chrisley Knows Best” reality series, titled “The Chrisleys: Back to Reality,” will premiere on Lifetime. The concluding installment of the third and final episode is scheduled for release on September 16th.
