Savannah Chrisley plans to lose 25lbs with help of a popular weight-loss drug: ‘I want to be skinny’

Savannah Chrisley plans to use weight-loss drugs to help shed the 25lbs she’s been wanting to lose.

I was chatting with my mom on my podcast this week, and I opened up about wanting to get back to a healthier weight. Honestly, I’ve been feeling frustrated with how much my weight has been up and down lately, and my goal right now is really just to feel good and be my healthiest self – which for me, means focusing on getting ‘skinny,’ as I put it.

I’ve always had ups and downs with my weight,” the actress shared. “Right now, I’m close to 160 pounds—maybe even a little over. I feel my best when I’m around 135 pounds, though.” She is 5 feet 7 inches tall.

I’ve been following Savannah Chrisley for a while now, and she recently shared that she tried weight-loss injections before. Honestly, she said it was tough because they really messed with her appetite, and she just couldn’t stick with it long-term. It’s relatable – it’s hard when a medication impacts something as basic as your hunger!

The toughest thing is when I’m filming and can’t eat. I often find myself thinking, “I really miss enjoying food!”

This time, Chrisley is determined to lose weight and intends to try a new medication called tirzepatide, which is a type of GLP-1 injection.

She mentioned wanting to resume taking injections, and shared that her company, Good Girl RX, is now offering tirzepatide.

She shared with her fans that she had blood tests done to check her overall health levels before resuming her injections.

Tirzepatide, sold as Mounjaro and Zepbound, is given as an injection once a week, and it’s important to have it on the same day each week.

The Mayo Clinic explains that this medication is primarily for treating type 2 diabetes, but it can also help people with obesity—specifically those whose weight issues are related to certain medical conditions—lose weight and maintain a healthier weight.

Chrisley opted for tirzepatide because it causes fewer side effects than other weight-loss medications, such as Ozempic.

I’m really happy with tirzepatide. It’s been helpful because I can track changes in my health with blood tests – comparing results before and after starting the medication – to see things like my biological age and A1C levels.”

She mentioned that she and her mother, Julie, are working on this together. Julie shared that she’s hoping to lose twenty pounds.

As someone who’s spent years helping people feel their best, I truly believe everyone deserves to feel good in their own skin. And honestly, for me personally, that often comes down to feeling healthy and, yes, wanting to be slim. It’s about finding what makes you feel confident and comfortable.

Ugh, I’m seriously obsessed with getting super thin! I want people to look at me and be genuinely worried, like, ‘Oh my gosh, is she alright?’ But, and this is super important, not so thin that I lose my curves, you know? I need to keep the booty! It’s a delicate balance, honestly, but I’m determined to achieve it.

She explained she really wants to lose weight, saying it’s frustrating when her jeans don’t fit anymore and she needs to lose a few pounds.

After starting her next round of GLP-1 injections, Chrisley plans to post updates with before-and-after photos for her followers in the Good Girl RX community.

‘I’m gonna start that so everyone can follow along.’

Savannah Chrisley recently admitted to making a comment about someone’s weight loss, shortly after sharing that she herself had liposuction to achieve a slimmer physique.

In a recent interview on her show, Unlocked, Chrisley explained she decided to have surgery after gaining 40 pounds while dealing with endometriosis. She discussed her decision with her plastic surgeon, Dr. Charlie Galanis.

Endometriosis happens when tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus. It affects about 1 in 10 women.

She explained that she had surgery because she was struggling with severe pain and complications from endometriosis.

I gained forty pounds in about three months while taking this medication, which was really shocking. It was especially difficult because I had a photoshoot scheduled and felt self-conscious about my appearance.

Okay, so Savannah got lipo, and honestly, good for her! She didn’t say exactly when, but she said it was a while back. What’s crazy is how quickly it all happened! She had a virtual consultation, and then one week later, she was actually getting the procedure done! Can you believe it? I’m obsessed with how open she is about everything!

Post-procedure, Chrisley regained her confidence.

‘Speaking from personal experience, when I got my lipo done, I felt like… when you can look in the mirror and see a difference, it made me want to live healthier,’ she explained.

‘When I saw the results, I was like, oh my gosh. I wanna keep this up.’

And she said she looked like a ‘totally different human being’ afterward.

During the ‘Be Curious, Not Judgmental’ episode, Chrisley also shared her experience with a bad nose job that left her nose crooked. She cautioned viewers that paying more for a surgeon doesn’t guarantee a better outcome.

I had a nose job done by a popular Beverly Hills surgeon, but unfortunately, the result wasn’t quite right – it ended up being noticeably crooked, she explained.

She said she immediately knew something was wrong and asked a friend of her father’s to help fix it.

Now, she says about her nose, ‘I love it, looks great.’

She pointed out that the cost of a procedure, or even having a well-known patient, doesn’t automatically mean you’ll be happy with the results.
