Sascha Bailey Reveals Shocking Truth About His Father’s Reaction to His Transition

David Bailey’s son, Sascha, has disclosed the photographer’s perspectives on his struggle with personal identity concerning gender.

2022 saw a former individual delve deeply into an unconventional social scene populated by males who hold the view that their lives might become simpler if they transform themselves into females.

Subsequently, the private doctor affirmed his identity as transgender and provided him with a prescription for female hormones.

As I prepared for my life-altering gender affirmation surgery, my father and my partner Lucy Brown offered me heartening words of support. With Lucy carrying our first child, we were all brought back from the edge together.

After three years, Sascha shared that his feelings of gender discomfort haven’t impacted his relationship with his dad.

Currently, Sascha is gearing up for fatherhood, and he’s ready to face the possibility that his future child might someday discuss their feelings about gender dysphoria with him.

Sascha pondered and made it clear he was strongly opposed to the idea,” he said. “Tattoos are out of the question, and changing one’s gender is simply not an option.

If you provide someone with a small area of influence or decision-making, they tend to focus on that aspect where they have some control.

Since children are not yet mature enough to make all the decisions for themselves, it’s our responsibility as adults to guide and protect them, helping them avoid poor choices.

‘Granting them this opportunity could lead many to seize it, primarily for the sense of control it offers.’

He argued that since the field of understanding when a child may identify as transgender is still developing and largely relies on psychological self-reports, our knowledge is primarily rooted in personal experiences rather than extensive research findings.

We can discuss matters that are based on facts. And it’s important to note that hormone therapies, such as puberty blockers or other hormone treatments, may have negative effects on your health.

‘Although surgeries can provide affirmation for certain individuals, it’s essential to acknowledge that they can have a negative impact on your overall health.’

From my perspective, it’s crucial to consider the objective aspects, and to me, this point underscores the fact that children are not yet equipped to make decisions independently.

I find it utterly baffling how someone could believe that a person under the age of 18 is capable of making such decisions. It just doesn’t add up.

Currently, Sascha’s primary focus revolves around the upcoming birth of his first child with partner Lucy, aged 32. He encountered Lucy following the dissolution of his 10-year marriage to lawyer Mimi Nishikawa, who is now 40 years old.

In my own words, I can’t help but express my deep gratitude towards Lucy. She wasn’t just a beacon of hope during my tumultuous divorce, but also played an instrumental role in helping me navigate through the complexities of my gender dysphoria. To put it simply, she has been, and continues to be, a lifesaver for me.

Instead of having a gender reveal party, he chuckled, they won’t be doing so for their upcoming child. As for his personal preference, it doesn’t matter to him either way.

The couple have already picked out names, Wolfgang for a boy and Ava for a girl. 

Lucy, who used to work as Tommy Robinson’s aid, now has the endorsement of David, Sascha’s dad, and, with an emerging interest in photography, she has started gathering some useful advice on the subject.

David is pleased for the couple. 

Sascha expresses his joy about another family gathering coming up. He also mentions he gets along well with his new girlfriend, which is great news. However, he didn’t particularly enjoy the previous one.
