Sarah Michelle Gellar to star in new White Lotus-style series: “This is going to be a good one”
Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to appear in the upcoming television series, “Bad Summer Folks,” which shares similarities with “The White Lotus.
According to Deadline, the actor who starred in both “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Scooby-Doo” will also take on the role of executive producer for the series. This show centers around a group of complex characters, including friends with rivalries and masterminds, after a corpse is found in a seemingly peaceful island community.
According to Jen Weinstein, Lauren Parker, along with their friends and families, the movie “Bad Summer People” portrays the deterioration of relationships as ancient feuds and hidden truths surface after a shocking revelation. This story is adapted from Emma Rosenblum’s novel due for release in 2023.

While “Bad Summer People” is being developed, Gellar has given an update on the potential return of “Buffy”. She mentioned, “We have established our workspaces, indicating that things are moving ahead at a pace possibly quicker than I had expected.
However, the star noted that it will require a process. To accomplish it correctly, everyone should show patience towards us all, as this is not something that happens spontaneously, they explained, appearing in the series Dexter: Original Sin.
Bad Summer People has no release date.
