Sarah Michelle Gellar got in “trouble” for posting set photo
As a die-hard fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar and her illustrious career, it’s always a thrill to witness her behind-the-scenes adventures. In this instance, I found myself chuckling at her playful mishap on the set of the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” revival. Despite being a seasoned actress and knowing the intricacies of closed sets, even she couldn’t resist sharing a charming snapshot that got her into a bit of trouble.
Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, renowned for her role as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, disclosed a minor scandal ensued when she shared a picture taken on the set of the remake of I Know What You Did Last Summer.
Gellar shared a picture of a chair bearing the movie’s title, not revealing any major spoilers. However, she was reprimanded for posting it anyway.
She expressed to the hosts of “Live with Kelly and Mark”, who were formerly stars on “All My Children”, that, given my current position, one might assume I’m well-versed in the rules regarding ‘closed sets’.
On Thanksgiving, since my spouse was filming a movie in Australia, I decided to travel with the children to see him. While on set, I found myself thinking, “What a wonderful photo this is!” and promptly shared it online.
It turned out they hadn’t shared any photos from the set, as they hadn’t disclosed that they had begun filming – whoops, my mistake!
The photo was fantastic, and the whole experience was a blast! You see, that’s the film where Freddie and I first met, so it held special significance for me. It was even more exciting to introduce my children to the place, and to top it off, my best friend from California, Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, directed and wrote it. All in all, it was a great time, but unfortunately, I managed to find myself in a bit of trouble.
When it was noted that her fan base is larger than the movie’s official accounts, Gellar replied that her post prompted the filmmakers to establish accounts for the film.
In the movie, Freddie Prinze Jr is returning to play Ray Bronson, but Sarah Michelle Gellar’s character, Helen Shivers, won’t be coming back because her character is deceased. However, Gellar is involved in some capacity with the film, offering continuity notes unofficially.
