As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but be absolutely thrilled by Sarah Lancashire’s recent honor of becoming a CBE! Her exceptional talent and dedication to her craft have graced our screens for years, and it’s heartwarming to see her finally receive the recognition she deserves.

From her gripping portrayal of Catherine Cawood in “Happy Valley” to her unforgettable role as Anna Rawsterne in “Black Doves,” Sarah has captivated audiences with her raw emotional depth and mesmerizing performances. It’s not every day that we get to witness an actor who can make us laugh, cry, and feel every emotion in between.

What sets Sarah apart is her ability to breathe life into complex characters that resonate with viewers on a profound level. Her talent is truly a gift, and I can’t wait to see what she does next.

It’s also worth noting that she won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Leading Actress for “Happy Valley,” which only further solidifies her status as one of Britain’s finest actors. And with an ambitious new TV series in the works, I can hardly contain my excitement for what’s to come!

And now, a little joke to lighten the mood: Why did Sarah Lancashire refuse to play hide and seek with her fellow actors? Because she always hides in the best roles! 😄

This year, Tom Baker from “Doctor Who,” Carey Mulligan of “Promising Young Woman,” Eddie Marsan from “Back to Black,” Anne-Marie Duff known for her role in “Shameless,” and Anne Reid of “Years and Years” are among the actors recognized by the King.

Or, more casually:

This year’s honors from the King include Tom Baker (from Doctor Who), Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman), Eddie Marsan (Back to Black), Anne-Marie Duff (Shameless), and Anne Reid (Years and Years).

Notable individuals set to receive accolades also include England soccer coach Gareth Southgate, football commentator Alan Hansen, radio host Steve Lamacq from BBC 6Music, television presenter Alan Titchmarsh of Love Your Weekend, and Myleene Klass, winner of I’m a Celebrity: South Africa.

2021 was a year where I, as an ecstatic gamer, cheered on as Lancashire snatched the Best Leading Actress trophy at the BAFTA TV Awards for “Happy Valley”. And just like any other awestruck player, I found myself saying, “I never saw it coming, and honestly, I mean it. It was a complete surprise. Yes, I was utterly shocked! But let’s face it, receiving such an honor was absolutely fantastic.

It was quite surprising to see so many folks returning to watch season 3 after such a long time; it was truly delightful to be caught off guard like that.
