Sarah Jessica Parker’s Gothic Gown Channels Hocus Pocus at And Just Like That Photo Call

At a photo event for the third season of “And Just Like That…”, Sarah Jessica Parker seemed to embody one of her legendary roles as she attended in New York on Wednesday.

60-year-old actress dazzled in a gothic navy Vivienne Westwood dress resembling a corset with long sleeves, at an event hosted by Crane Club. She accessorized her look with glittering Nomasei Paris heels and a silver Fregoli bag to add some extra sparkle.

Some viewers commented on the likeness between her appearance and the fashionable witch character Sarah Sanderson, as portrayed in the 1993 Disney movie Hocus Pocus and its 2022 follow-up film, Hocus Pocus 2.

I adorned myself with exquisite Fred Leighton jewels, sporting 19th-century diamond earrings that sparkled brilliantly, a dazzling diamond flower brooch artfully placed in my tresses, and a timeless 1920s natural pearl and silver ring on my finger.

At the red carpet event, Sarah, playing her renowned character Carrie Bradshaw again, was accompanied by her spouse, Matthew Broderick (aged 60).

Sarah’s long blonde hair was styled in loose curls and swept to the side. 

Matthew cut a handsome figure in a navy suit accented with a dark red tie. 

He also sported a pair of black rim eyeglasses.

Additionally, Sarah posted a video on Instagram showcasing her likeness, as followers commented on the strong similarity between her and her character from Hocus Pocus.

‘This is giving SATC meets Hocus Pocus!’ one wrote.

Also present were her co-stars, including Kristin Davis, 60, and Cynthia Nixon, 59. 

Kristin dazzled in a beaded cream gown with floral embellishments and sandal heels. 

She adorned herself with a KWIAT diamond bar pendant earring set in platinum, along with various Fred Leighton jewelry pieces such as two diamond bracelets and an aquamarine and diamond ring.

Nixon had all eyes on her in a mint green Richard Quinn Fall 2025 ready-to-wear gown.

The dress had an oversized bow at the neckline and a grand, feathery skirt with a trailing tail, creating quite a spectacle.

Her short blonde tresses were swept to the side. 

Nicky Hilton Rothschild, aged 41, exuded elegance in a shimmering lavender dress boasting a lacy skirt.

She wore pointed toe silver heels and mermaid wavy hair. 

Sarita Choudhury, 58, stunned in black top and form fitting skirt.

40-years-old Hollywood icon Bo Derek made a seldom appearance on the red carpet alongside her spouse, John Corbett, during the recent event.

In the show, Corbett reappeared in his old role as Carrie’s former partner Aidan, a character he portrayed before, which earned him the affection of viewers once more.

In the second season of “And Just Like That”, Aidan reappeared, trying with Carrie to rekindle their past romance. However, in the end, they decided to move on separately once more.

Despite their recent split, there’s a spark of possibility left as Aidan makes another appearance in the preview for the upcoming series.

Currently, Corbett, at the age of 64, is rejoicing at the launch of a fresh season, and Derek, aged 68, who had been together for 18 years prior to their wedding in 2020, stood beside him during this special occasion.

At her most recent public event, Derek radiated a vibrant youthfulness while striking poses in a chic, black-and-white pantsuit that beautifully highlighted her slender figure, which remains graceful.

Her outfit, marked by metallic studs along the jacket’s edges and sleeves as well as on the lower legs of her trousers, brought an additional burst of individuality to it.

Simultaneously, Corbett presented an air of the sophisticated silver fox, sporting a stylish salt-and-pepper beard, a dashing black attire, and chic orange sunglasses.

Evan Handler, 64, rocked a dark suit with a blue button up shirt. 

Christopher Griffin wore a colorful skirt with a white crop top. 

Mario Cantone, 65, looked handsome as ever in a patterned navy suit.

Last month, the new trailer for season three of And Just Like That was trolled by fans.

In the preview, Sarah, Kristin, and Cynthia took on the characters they originally played: Carrie, Charlotte York, and Miranda Hobbes once more.

The clip had the actresses talking to camera, in between snippets from the upcoming season.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I couldn’t help but notice the spirited responses from viewers regarding the three-minute video I recently shared. It appears that many found the styling and editing of the clip to be quite unconventional, even going so far as to label it as stiff and peculiar on various social media platforms.

‘Shot edited and scored like a pharmaceutical ad,’ declared one user.

‘This looks even worse than the first seasons, which I didn’t think was possible,’ joked another.

Another person asked, “Who else can’t wait for the spectacle that seems to be #AndJustLikeThat’s third season?

Someone found themselves chuckling after watching the Season 3 trailer of ‘And Just Like That’, and they couldn’t help but remark that it continues to appear incredibly unappealing.

In simpler terms, despite being a significant character from Sex And The City, Kim Cattrall’s persona, Samantha Jones, has yet to make an appearance in the new series titled “And Just Like That.

For quite some time, there were whispers about a strained relationship between Kim and the initial cast members. Notably, she chose not to rejoin the ensemble for the subsequent spin-off television shows.

Sex and the City aired for 6 seasons on HBO. It premiered in 1998, and concluded in 2004. 

Sex and the City: The Movie was released in 2008, followed by Sex and the City 2 in 2010. 

In the same vein as its debut in 2021, “And Just Like That…” returns with a new season starting on Thursday, May 29th, exclusively on Max.
