Sarah Jessica Parker teases new romantic interests on And Just Like That season 3

Sarah Jessica Parker has been giving hints about the upcoming third season of “And Just Like That” – and it seems we’ll be meeting some fresh faces along the way.

Next year, the upcoming spin-off from the original 2004 Sex and The City television series will make its debut.

The show, featuring Parker, Davis, and Nixon reprising their roles as Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York, and Miranda Hobbes respectively, presents an updated storyline of these characters now navigating adulthood in the bustling city of New York.

During a speech at the Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, Parker revealed that filming for the third season lasted approximately seven months, with demanding extended work hours.

According to Variety, Parker, at 59 years old, expressed that the forthcoming season seems incredibly large, very sturdy, and thrilling.

She went on saying, ‘There are countless captivating tales complete with extra personalities, each finding their genuine place,’

She also teased some new additions to the cast, especially as it relates to her character, Carrie.

‘There is growth with new faces,’ Parker said.

Carrie’s plot is quite captivating, she went on to say. It makes bold moves and incorporates substantial concepts within these bold maneuvers. Some familiar male characters reappear, and there are also new male figures introduced.

Parker’s insights regarding the upcoming season were shared at a time when it remained unclear if her co-star Davis’ kids might appear in the show, “And Just Like That”.

Parker has three kids with her spouse, Matthew Broderick: their 22-year-old son, James Wilkie Broderick; as well as twin daughters, Tabitha Hodge Broderick and Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick, who are both 13 years old.

Davis is the parent of two kids, who she adopted. She has a daughter named Gemma Rose Davis, aged 11, and a son named Wilson Davis, aged five.

On the other hand, they both informed E! News in October that they’re not keen on their children featuring in the spinoff. Davis stated, “We’re attempting to shield them.

In recent years, the ladies have worked together on various Sex and The City related projects. 

The team made two sequel films, one in 2008 and another in 2010; however, the third one remained unproduced.

However, there have been rumors that actress Kim Cattrall was feuding with the cast.

Instead of reprising her role as Samantha during the initial season, she decided against it, yet made an appearance in the closing scene of the second season finale instead.

In the first episode of the series, it’s revealed that Samantha has relocated to London. The first episode of the season shows Carrie sending a text message to Samantha, arranging a face-to-face meeting to mend their friendship.

Samantha’s return came in the form of a phone call to Carrie.

But unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the star will be returning for season three.

In July 2024, she refuted the rumors on a platform once known as Twitter, saying: “That’s really sweet of you, but it’s not true.” (Cattrall wrote: ‘Aw that’s so kind but I’m not.’)

Season 3 of And Just Like That… is set to premiere next year.
