Sarah Ferguson expresses interest in joining high profile Netflix series
As a gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in the world of period dramas, I must say that Sarah Ferguson‘s determination to join the cast of Bridgerton is nothing short of inspiring! Her relentless pursuit of her dream, despite being a royal and having connections in the industry, reminds me of my own quest to level up in an MMORPG.
If you’ve ever wanted to call in a favor to get on Netflix’s Bridgerton, Sarah Ferguson is right there with you!
As a passionate gamer, I can’t help but share my excitement about a potential new role! Just like Daphne Bridgerton navigating the high society of Regency-era London, I too have expressed my eagerness to join the cast of the captivating series, Bridgerton. According to recent reports by GB News, I’ve even had a conversation with Shonda Rhimes, expressing my readiness and enthusiasm for this opportunity, telling her that I’m “all in” and ready to make my entrance on the show!
Initially, there was a misunderstanding about whether Ferguson would be on Coronation Street, but she actually expressed her intention to join Bridgerton. Interestingly, this clarification came from Ferguson while she was seated next to one of Coronation Street’s main actors, Sally Dynevor.
A huge fan of the Netflix period drama
On ITV’s morning program, Ferguson didn’t make her first pitch for a role in Bridgerton. Earlier, the Duchess of York had shared with Platinum Magazine that she was actively seeking representation to secure a part. In her conversation with Platinum, Sarah expressed excitement about Bridgerton’s set design and her potential as a forgotten friend for Penelope!
Even though Dynevor works for a rival company, she playfully hinted to Sarah that she “might be acquainted with someone, who might be acquainted with someone.” As reported by GB News, Dynevor and Ferguson have a close relationship. They first connected on the show Loose Women, and developed a bond as fellow breast cancer survivors.
In 2023, Ferguson was diagnosed with breast cancer following a regular mammography screening, while Dynevor had been diagnosed in 2009. To promote breast cancer education, these two remarkable women are honorary figures for the charitable organization Prevent Breast Cancer.
Dynevor and Ferguson leverage their influence to gather resources for Prevent Breast Cancer, aiming to establish new training facilities and expand opportunities for radiologists. Ultimately, this could enhance the capabilities of radiologists in detecting breast cancer through screenings.
This week, Sarah’s family member, Prince Harry, will debut his own Netflix project. Entitled “Harry’s POLO series,” it delves into the lives and careers of contemporary polo players, offering insights into the Royal Family’s connection to this sport throughout history. The male members of the Royal Family have been involved in polo for generations, with varying degrees of achievement. Notably, Prince Harry frequently participates in charity tournaments, leveraging his celebrity status for a noble purpose.
Currently, it seems that Sarah Ferguson’s chance to appear on the streaming platform is delayed. One might anticipate that a genuine royal figure like her wouldn’t need to exert much effort for a brief role in a period drama; but for now, we can only speculate about future developments.
