Sara Foster recalls being ‘offended’ by Cindy Crawford setting her up on ‘blah’ date with ‘old’ George Clooney

Nepo baby Sara Foster claimed she was once set up on a disastrous date with George Clooney.

Amy Foster, the 44-year-old daughter of David Foster, shared on her podcast, The World’s First Podcast, that Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, apparently attempted to set her up on a date.

Let me tell you, back when I was first starting out, I had a setup with George Clooney – and honestly, it was a total dud! I had to get that off my chest, it just didn’t spark any connection.

She explained that the meeting occurred when she was about 24 years old, and while they did meet face-to-face, she immediately felt a strange or negative energy from the group.

She described her initial reaction as a firm rejection. She vividly remembered thinking he seemed too old at the time.

Daily Mail has reached out to reps for both Clooney and Crawford but has not received a response.

Foster then shared her thoughts on relationships with significant age differences, admitting she’s never quite seen the attraction.

She explained that she often thinks about young women dating older men, and while she acknowledges it can sometimes be understandable or even work out, it’s a complex situation.

However, she admitted the dynamic never resonated with her personally.

I’ve always found it strange when a 19-year-old is attracted to someone who’s 40. It just never made sense to me.

She explained she was upset that Crawford and Gerber had tried to fix her up with Clooney, as it made him seem much older than her.

Jodie Foster recalled a frightening moment with George Clooney, saying, ‘I really thought we were going to die.’ She also mentioned she was already feeling down about a recent breakup at the time, which added to the intensity of the experience.

She described someone who seemed very old and frail, saying it was a truly depressing sight and left her feeling deeply sad.

Foster felt there was one more detail worth setting straight about how the date actually went.

She explained that George didn’t ask to be introduced to Sara Foster. Instead, she believes Rande and Cindy suggested him, saying they knew someone he’d like.

She explained that the initially uncomfortable situation became surprisingly emotional, and she thought it might have made Clooney want to leave.

She admitted she started talking about her ex-boyfriend, and she thinks that turned him off. ‘I think he realized I wasn’t doing so well,’ Foster said, laughing.

After moving past her previous relationship and a short-lived connection with George Clooney, Foster found lasting love with tennis star Tommy Haas.

They first connected in the mid-2000s through friends and quickly became very close. They even got engaged in 2009, but they didn’t end up getting married.

Foster described her long-term relationship as being like a marriage. She and her partner have been together since she was 25, and their lives are deeply connected.

Honestly, even after everything came out in August 2024 about them separating, all I could see was how dedicated they were to Valentina and Josephine. They really seemed to be putting their daughters first, and that’s all that mattered, even through the split. It was clear co-parenting was their priority, and it was honestly a little heartwarming to witness, even from afar.

Meanwhile, Clooney’s romantic history before settling down is well documented.

The actor was known for dating a number of famous women throughout his career, such as Elisabetta Canalis, Stacy Keibler, and Sarah Larson, as well as other well-known actresses.

He was a private but charming man, and became known as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after bachelors.

Clooney finally tied the knot with human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, 47, in September 2014.

George and Amal Clooney have eight-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella. George has frequently said that meeting Amal transformed his views on life and love.
