Sandra Bullock looks downcast during rare outing amid news her Blind Side costar is on life support

Sandra Bullock looked downcast while stepping out for a rare outing this week.

On Monday morning in Los Angeles, the 61-year-old actress was seen running errands and carrying a YETI lunch box.

This news arrives shortly after it was revealed that Quinton Aaron, her former colleague from the movie The Blind Side, is critically ill in the hospital and is currently on life support.

The Academy Award-winning actress tried to stay unnoticed while out, wearing a brown baseball cap and large sunglasses.

She put on a casual display and was bundled up in a taupe bomber jacket layered over a white top.

The famous actress looked chic and relaxed in a classic casual outfit, pairing it with comfortable, medium-wash, wide-leg jeans.

Coordinating in neutral tones, she carried suede slip-on shoes and a brown, shoulder bag.

She was carrying a durable YETI case while walking through a parking lot on her way to her next stop.

Just the day before, she was seen out with her 12-year-old daughter, Laila, at a birthday party in Culver City. It was a rare public appearance for them.

The mother and daughter’s trip to Los Angeles happened shortly after news surfaced about a former colleague’s health problems.

Bullock and the actor previously worked together in the 2009 film The Blind Side. He played Michael Oher, an NFL offensive lineman, and she played his adoptive mother, Leigh Anne Tuohy.

Aaron was recently hospitalized and is currently on life support due to a serious blood infection.

His manager told TMZ on Sunday that he collapsed at his home in Atlanta last week after losing the use of his legs.

At the time, his manager said he’s ‘stable’ and ‘communicating with his family and team.’

A GoFundMe page states the actor is in critical condition and battling for his life.

According to TMZ, doctors discovered a rare cyst on his spine and are now conducting tests to see if it’s non-cancerous or potentially dangerous.

His family shared that he might need back surgery and a long period of physical therapy because of this.

The actor’s family shared that surgery on his back might unfortunately result in him needing to use a wheelchair for a long time.

On Monday, the actor’s wife, Margarita Aaron, revealed he had been dealing with unexplained neck pain before being admitted to the hospital.

She explained that her husband, who she described as a strong fighter, needed a breathing tube because his breathing was uneven. He is still receiving antibiotics to address a potential blood issue, according to Fox News Digital.

After visiting him on Sunday, she reported that he’s improving noticeably each day, with small but encouraging signs like moving his fingers and attempting to open his eyes.

‘Although he seemed like he was a little lucid, he was not very responsive,’ she continued.

He gave me a thumbs-up during our conversation, which was a good sign. Thankfully, he’s still breathing on his own and isn’t completely reliant on the breathing tube or assistance.

I recently learned that Aaron’s incredible 200-pound weight loss journey actually started with a health scare back in October. It really motivated him to completely change his lifestyle, and it’s been inspiring to watch!

‘I had this come-to-Jesus kind of moment a few years back,’ he recalled.

Around 2021, while meditating by the water in Mandeville, Louisiana, he suddenly passed out and nearly fell into the water.

He remembered one time he was sitting by the water, feeling relaxed, when he suddenly woke up under the water. He’d actually passed out, fallen off the wall – it was about a twelve-foot drop – but luckily the water was only three feet deep. He didn’t realize that at the time, which was good, because he can’t swim!

I was absolutely shocked to hear Aaron describe his experience – he said it felt like he genuinely woke up submerged in water, with no time to even catch a breath or prepare himself for what was happening. It sounds terrifying!

He explained that when he woke up, he was underwater and immediately felt a sharp pain in his neck and shoulder from the impact of going under. While submerged, he heard a voice telling him to ‘Stand up’.

I struggled to stand, feeling the water force me towards the rocks. I bumped my head on something, but I couldn’t see what it was because the water was murky and brown.

Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE what happened! He actually made it out of the water, thank goodness! They took him straight to the hospital, and after a complete check-up, they found out he had this awful infection… it started in his big toe, can you imagine?! And it had gotten all the way into the bone! I was so worried, but at least they figured it out!

He said his doctors later told him that his fall may have been caused by diabetic ketoacidosis.

As a lifestyle expert, I want to make sure everyone understands the dangers of diabetic ketoacidosis, or DKA. It’s a really serious issue that happens when your body isn’t producing enough insulin. This leads to a dangerous buildup of acids in your blood, and if blood sugar gets too high, it can quickly become life-threatening. It’s crucial to be aware of the signs and get help immediately if you think you might be experiencing it.

Aaron explained that he spent several weeks in the hospital receiving antibiotics through an IV. He was close to losing his toe, but doctors were able to save it by removing a small portion, which then needed time to heal.
