Sandra Bullock claims she was advised not to ‘like’ Jennifer Aniston

During the peak of their popularity in the ’90s, it seems that Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Aniston might have benefited from a friendship instead. However, they were encouraged to maintain a competitive edge towards each other for top-tier acting roles.

In my fervent admiration, I’d put it this way: “Back then, in the world of showbiz, there was an unspoken rule that women should never be allies – instead, they were set against each other like pieces on a chessboard.” I shared this insight with Vanity Fair recently.

‘We were told we weren’t supposed to do that — meaning like and respect and honor each other.’

It’s also possible that their reluctance to interact stemmed from the fact that they were both involved with the same individual, Tate Donovan, at some point.

As a devoted admirer, I had the pleasure of dating a captivating lady, aged 61, who graced our screens on Damages, from the years 1990 to 1995. In the enchanting romantic comedy, Love Potion No. 9, penned by Dale Launer in 1992, I had the fortune of portraying an adorably awkward scientist who found himself smitten with another character.

From 1995 to 1998, Tate swiftly progressed with Jennifer, but their relationship was put on hold during his five-episode stint as Rachel Green’s recent divorcee love interest in Friends, which aired around the same time.

In 2010, at a mutual friend’s wedding, the Oscar-winning individual and Jennifer Aniston forged a friendship. This friendship blossomed through playful exchanges of drinks and messages, often referred to as ‘sharing drinks and jokes.’

‘We were just like, “Oh my God, we need to meet and cut loose!” And we did,’ Sandra recalled.

The award-winning individual, often referred to as ‘Sand-a-La’, responded: ‘I’m not sure what I was sending her, but whatever it was, it was undoubtedly more potent than what she was sending my way.’

Jennifer and Bullock found common ground in their appreciation for interior design, playful pranks, luxurious vacations, and delving into the mysteries of numerology.

The Virginia-born beauty expressed that she finds it remarkable how effortlessly she appears tough, yet she’s exceptionally approachable instead.

‘Nothing is for her alone ever. Everything she does is for everyone else included.’

Aniston commented on their friendship, saying, “We always find ourselves thinking, ‘Let’s go somewhere! Where should we travel next?’ I’m doing my best to avoid turning into a recluse like Howard Hughes.

The LA-born, NY-raised blonde and Sandra commiserate over their shared fear of flying.

‘The two of us on a plane — it’s the most pathetic thing to look at,’ Bullock laughed.

‘Usually it’s us grabbing each other’s arms from across the table with our heads down.’

During a flight two spring breaks ago, Jennifer found the courage to console a woman with two children who seemed distressed.

As she tightly gripped my hand, she nonchalantly muttered, “It’s only a minor setback.” But me, I couldn’t help but exclaim, “Who on earth are you acting so calm with me right now?!” (Sandra remembered)

Bullock and Aniston have both dealt with scary, home-invading stalkers too.

On May 7th, Jimmy Wayne Carwyle denied guilt for a charge of felony stalking and felony vandalism. This came after he intentionally drove his vehicle into the grand gate of a Bel-Air mansion valued at $22 million, which belonged to an actress named Out of My Mind, when she was actually present in the house.

In the year 2018, Joshua Corbett perished in a confrontation with the Los Angeles Police Department, four years following his sentencing to five years of probation for stalking a movie producer-actress from The Lost City, as well as intruding into her residence while she was present at home.

‘It makes me think, “Do I really have to go outside and navigate the world?”‘ Sandra said.

There are situations when people enter the house, situations where they remain outside the house, instances when they discover your location on a film set, and incidents that go unnoticed.”

This version aims to provide clarity and readability by using simpler sentence structures and avoiding jargon.

This situation continues, not just a single event. It fosters a mentality that, regrettably, makes your home feel like a fortress as well.

It is said that Jennifer is set to make $2 million per episode while serving as executive producer and reprising her role as co-host Alex Levy in Charlotte Stoudt’s 10-episode fourth season of The Morning Show, airing September 17 on Apple TV+.

Aniston based her character off the trailblazing broadcast journalist, Diane Sawyer.

Season four of the hit newsroom TV show, inspired by Brian Stelter’s 2013 book “Top of the Morning,” is set in a world that has undergone a merger between UBA and NBN, two years later.)

The two-time winner of SAG Awards is set to take on double duties for upcoming projects. Firstly, she will produce and star in the Apple TV+ adaptation of Jennette McCurdy’s 2022 memoir titled “I’m Glad My Mom Died.” Secondly, she will produce a modern reboot of the classic 9 to 5, with Diablo Cody penning the script for this Gen Z-focused version.

Jennifer also keeps busy running her haircare company LolaVie, which she founded in 2021.

In a busy work schedule, Sandra Bullock is diligently working on and reprising her character as witch Sally Owens in Susanne Bier’s upcoming sequel, Practical Magic 2. This film will co-star Nicole Kidman, Dianne Wiest, and Stockard Channing, set to release in US theaters on September 18, 2026.

Actress from Bullet Train is set to collaborate once more with Keanu Reeves, who starred alongside her in Speed and The Lake House, for a yet-to-be-titled romantic thriller written by Noah Oppenheim and produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
