After premiering on Peacock in the US on September 5, many viewers in the UK have been curious about how to watch the limited series. It’s now been revealed that ITVX is where it will reside, but an official release date has yet to be disclosed.
“Million Dollar Showdown at Fight Night” – This captivating narrative recounts the remarkable tale of a daring heist that took place during Muhammad Ali’s iconic 1970 return fight, an event that not only significantly impacted one individual’s life but also played a pivotal role in shaping Atlanta into the ‘Black Mecca.’
In a turn of events, a character known as “Chicken Man” (Hart), following his victorious fight, organizes an extravagant afterparty inviting the nation’s elite. However, the night concludes with one of Atlanta’s most daring criminal heists orchestrated by the city’s underworld criminals.
Chicken Man stands accused of orchestrating the crime and is determined to prove his innocence. However, he must persuade his longtime adversary, J.D. Hudson – a prominent detective in the city’s desegregated police force who has been assigned to find those responsible for the crime – to believe him.
Apart from Hart, Jackson, and Cheadle, the ensemble cast for the series also features Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, Chloe Bailey, Dexter Darden, Michael James Shaw, and Shaye Ogbonna as the showrunner.
In the television series, it is Jackson, recognized for his portrayal of Nick Fury within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who takes on the character of Frank ‘Black Godfather’ Moten. Meanwhile, Hart, fresh from his role in Borderlands, assumes the additional responsibility as an executive producer.
