Sammy Winward’s daughter Mia, 19, had ambitions to follow her Emmerdale star mother, 38, into acting before ‘causing family rift by turning to OnlyFans’

Mia, the daughter of Sammy Winward, initially aspired to pursue acting like her mother; however, a disagreement within the family arose when she decided to join OnlyFans.
For months now, there’s been no communication between them. Mia attributes this disagreement to her choice to post provocative photos of herself on a membership platform.
Previously, Mia, aged 19, expressed that she held distinct aspirations. She confessed that landing a role on Emmerdale, similar to her mother, who is 38, would bring her immense joy.
In her joint appearance on Loose Women in 2021, she expressed that if given such a role, she would be absolutely thrilled.
19-year-old Mia was greeted by Sammy, who was accompanied by the former Blackburn footballer David Dunn at the time. Currently, she is wedded to Martyn Hardy.
In her interview on the ITV discussion program, she attributed their powerful connection to the relatively small difference in their ages, specifically with regard to Mia.
Sammy said: ‘I always thought, “oh my god I’m only going to be 36/37 when she is 18”.
‘I’m nearly there now and it’s just crazy because we just feel like best mates really.
‘Obviously there is the mother and daughter relationship but we’re more like best mates’.
Sammy found fame in Emmerdale in 2001 but quit in 2015 to become a teacher.
She made a TV comeback last year with a role in The Long Shadow, which detailed the five-year manhunt for the serial killer Peter Sutcliffe.
Though she wished Mia would pursue acting like herself, surprisingly, the teen is currently earning up to £30,000 monthly from her explicit photo business instead.
Mia told
The Sun
: ‘She said some pretty mean things when we did last speak, it was awful.
‘But I absolutely love my mum, I love all of my family but none of them speak to me now.’

In simpler terms, she mentioned that her typical day involves creating video content, posting it online, and completing necessary paperwork.
Although she’s become financially successful and established her own company, Mia acknowledged that her family doesn’t approve and her father, ex-Blackburn footballer David Dunn, has kept his distance as well.
