Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have so much story to tell
In the main WWE lineup, numerous narratives are unfolding. Many of these stories in the men’s division are intricately connected, making them captivating to follow. One such narrative further evolved during the January 27 episode of Monday Night Raw. In an unintended move, Sami Zayn took down Cody Rhodes, with Kevin Owens watching. This marks the second time in two weeks that Zayn has done this, hinting at a possible reunion for him and Owens. Both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are exceptional storytellers in professional wrestling, and their collaboration could create an exceptional tale within WWE.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn share a rich history that spans over many years. Time and again, they’ve woven their tale, intertwining it with their ongoing roles in the WWE. Their most recent chapter was written at WrestleMania 39, where they clinched the WWE Tag Team Championship. Whether they team up or face off, Zayn and Owens have a knack for captivating audiences with every move they make.
Considering the current focus of WWE on sustained storylines and compelling narratives, one might ponder how events could unfold. For over a year, Rhodes has held the Undisputed Championship, yet there’s a significant group of fans rooting for him to relinquish it to Owens. Despite being a standout performer in WWE for years, Owens hasn’t been given the leading role. Even during his tenure as the WWE Universal Champion, he wasn’t considered the main star. Similarly, Zayn has enjoyed fan support, but may not have had the backing from behind the scenes to be established as a top star.
Currently, WWE is developing its antagonists as characters with a clear purpose, particularly within the men’s division. These are individuals who have likely faced rejection or betrayal, possibly from Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are two such individuals embroiled in this struggle. This is why Owens has turned against Rhodes. However, for Zayn, it might be more about growing weary of constantly helping others while neglecting his own interests. He’s been just shy of the pinnacle in WWE for too long; now could be the time for him to ascend to the top position.
The problem is that WWE currently has numerous villains who are close to the main event scene. It’s anticipated that Cody Rhodes will also join their ranks, further increasing the number of high-profile heels. Could the duo of Owens and Zayn become too much for the upper echelons of the roster?
There seems to be an abundance of antagonists at the upper levels in WWE, with Cody Rhodes expected to join their ranks. The question is whether the team of Owens and Zayn will make the top of the card too crowded?
In earlier times, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H wreaked havoc as the formidable duo known as the 2 Man Power Trip. While Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn can make a significant impact without all the championship belts, putting them at the head of the roster would create an engaging narrative worth witnessing.
