As a devoted follower of Sam’s career and personal life, it’s heartbreaking to witness her going through such turbulent times. From the joyous moments of her wedding to the sorrowful goodbye to Banjo, her life seems like a rollercoaster ride. It’s not easy to juggle a high-profile career, personal relationships, and pet loss – all at once.

It’s believed that Samantha Armytage and her husband Richard Lavender have parted ways after nearly four years of being married.

On New Year’s Eve in 2020, Armytage and Lavender exchanged wedding vows at a beautiful 40-hectare estate located in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales.

It appears that the split between the couple was intended to become public knowledge through a Sydney newspaper on Friday. However, ahead of schedule, the information was verified and reported by Daily Mail Australia.

It appears that Armytage’s television presenter friends have been providing comfort to her privately for some time now. On Instagram, Armytage is no longer followed by the 61-year-old equestrian businessman’s daughters Sascha and Grace, although it seems both parties still follow each other.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Samantha for comment.

The Sunrise star and Lavender tied the knot in the Southern Highlands in NSW in 2020.

They got married at his house around noon, followed by a lunch at the Centennial Vineyards Restaurant in Bowral.

In a stunning photograph taken by Abbie Melle, Armytage can be seen walking hand-in-hand with her newly wed spouse through his Southern Highlands property on New Year’s Eve, not long after they had exchanged their wedding vows.

She labeled the touching photograph, captured following their wedding ceremony prior to the reception, as “11:58 AM on a Thursday. What great fortune we share!

On my memorable occasion, I chose to don a graceful, long-sleeved white gown, complemented by a delicate ribbon that mirrored the design, subtly tied within my tresses.

I chose to keep my look subtle yet striking, emphasizing my eyes with a gentle sweep of earthy brown eyeshadow, and adding just a hint of bronzer to accentuate the natural glow on my skin, sunbathed by admiration for her beauty.

Sam also posted a photo from later in the evening, which showed her and Richard cuddling up alongside the words: ‘HNY from the Lav’s.’

This caption hints she may be taking her husband’s surname.

61-year-old business magnate Sam married on his 40-acre estate in the scenic Southern Highlands on a Thursday.

They got married at his residence just before noon, followed by lunch at the Centennial Vineyards Restaurant in Bowral.

As an over-the-moon fan, I must admit, the exclusive gathering was a tiny affair, thanks to the relentless COVID-19 pandemic. But here’s the scoop: it seems like my beloved idols, Sasha and Grace, were part of the select few invited to this heartfelt event.

At the reception, Sam’s dad, Mac, occupied the seat at the head of the table, with her younger sibling, Charlie, positioned not far away.

She wore a simple yet elegant dress by designer Carla Zampatti, whose outfits she has often worn in the past.

A source informed Daily Mail Australia about the wedding: ‘There was plenty of champagne, and at one instance, multiple waiters catered to their every requirement.’

Despite being avid fans, we weren’t granted any special privileges; instead, we found ourselves nestled amongst the local populace and vacationers, far from the glitz and glamour usually associated with VIP treatment. It was a refreshing change to mingle with the ordinary folk, immersing ourselves in the authentic charm of the place.

A local from Burradoo said it was ‘pretty much a “slap-on” lunch’, adding that Sam looked relaxed as she ‘rubbed Richard’s back, chatting to guests’.

The newlyweds had arrived at the reception in a local taxi.

Sam and Richard started dating in April 2019, and announced their engagement in June 2020.

It’s been a tough year for the TV veteran, who lost her beloved dog Banjo in February.

Back in February, the TV host announced on Instagram that Banjo had passed away about three weeks prior.

According to her, the family thinks that the cute dog got bitten by a snake during its stay with its grandfather close to Wagga Wagga.

Reflecting on our cherished moments together, I recently showcased an album filled with snapshots of us – me and my six-year-old Labrador companion – striking poses that bring back memories so dear to my heart.

In a caption, she shared a quote from Winnie the Pooh as she paid tribute to her pet.

‘How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard,’ she wrote.

‘Three weeks ago yesterday, I said goodbye to my darling boy, Banjo. My heart is completely broken.

‘He was my best mate, my baby & my shadow.. & I don’t know what I’m going to do without him.

It seems that he passed away prematurely; he had been residing with his father close to Wagga, and there’s reason to believe he might have been bitten by a snake.

The incident took us by surprise, but I feel compelled to express my gratitude towards our veterinarian for their tireless efforts in trying to save him. We’re all feeling incredibly sorrowful at this time.

‘There is another star in heaven these days. Vale Banjo.’
