Samantha Armytage shared a heartfelt message remembering her mother, Elizabeth ‘Libby’ Armytage, on the fifth anniversary of her passing.
The host of The Golden Bachelor, who is 49 years old, recently posted a collection of family photos online and also shared a touching tribute to someone she’s lost.
‘Five years today without our darling mumma,’ she wrote in the caption alongside the post.
One photo, posted to her Instagram Stories, shows Sam posing with family members.
A second throwback image features Sam enjoying some downtime in the sunshine with her mum.
Sam’s family was devastated to learn of Libby’s death in November 2020. She was 68 years old and passed away from heart failure.

The Sunrise star announced the sad news on her Instagram.
Sam shared that their mother passed away last Tuesday afternoon, shortly after the Melbourne Cup. She was just ten days away from turning 69.
She struggled with illness for a long time and endured a great deal of pain, but ultimately, her kind and generous spirit was unable to overcome it.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen firsthand how vital mothers are to the family unit. Losing mine has been incredibly difficult for all of us, and honestly, it’s left a void in our hearts that will never truly heal. It’s shaken things up completely, and we’re all still trying to navigate life without her guiding presence.
‘We are very, very sad. She was wonderful; kind, loving, loyal, wildly wicked, funny & formidable.’
Sam also shared a photo of her late mother’s rose garden, which she called Libby’s ‘happy place’.
Her rose garden was her sanctuary, a place we’ll always remember her. We’ll miss her dearly, but she’s finally at peace, a beautiful soul forever remembered as an angel.
In August 2020, Sam’s mother was hospitalized due to heart failure, and shortly after, his father was hospitalized after having a stroke.
She previously shared that her mother, Libby, has been seriously ill for some time, explaining that an autoimmune disease led to heart failure.

Sam posted more pictures of the tasty food her friends brought, like salads and cauliflower soup.
The TV star also expressed gratitude to her fans, saying, ‘Thank you for all the lovely messages of support.’
You know, I’ve been hearing things about a possible connection between one of our favorite TV personalities and ‘The Golden Bachelor’s’ Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden. But honestly, she’s totally playing it cool! She’s actually letting the speculation run wild, and I’m getting the sense it’s a deliberate move. From what I understand, she’s much more focused on keeping the spotlight off what’s really going on in her personal life, and this little bit of mystery is helping her do just that. It’s a smart strategy, really – control the narrative by letting people guess!
According to a friend of the TV host, Sam is dismissing the rumors and believes the attention surrounding Bear has surprisingly benefited her.
‘Sam’s been in this business long enough to know how to play the game,’ they divulged.
She doesn’t mind what others assume about her and Bear, because she wants to distract them from what’s really going on with her.
According to sources, ‘someone else’ may be a secret romance that no one’s talking about.
Although Sam has dismissed reports of a romance with Bear while filming, people on set say their connection is obvious.
