Samantha Armytage is spotted for the first time since quitting Channel Seven as she visits her local supermarket in Sydney
As a lifestyle expert with over two decades of experience in the industry, I must say that Samantha Armytage‘s decision to leave Network Seven after 21 years is indeed a bold move. It takes a lot of courage and self-awareness to know when it’s time to move on and embrace new opportunities.
Recently, Samantha Armytage was seen publicly for the first occasion following her surprising decision to leave Network Seven.
On Sunday, the host of The Farmer Wants A Wife, who is 47 years old, announced her decision to leave Channel Seven after a service spanning 21 years.
Only a few days following the announcement, the TV host was spotted at her neighborhood supermarket in Double Bay, Sydney on Tuesday, doing her grocery shopping.
Samantha wore relaxed attire with a large black turtleneck sweater, cream trousers, and white trainers. She held her shopping in a bag.
She wore her blonde hair out, and completed her look with a brown leather cross-body bag.
Samantha was spotted with a grocery cart first, then she took out her bags and walked towards her car afterwards.
The FWAW host surprised fans when she announced her departure from Network Seven on Sunday.
According to The Daily Telegraph’s report, she refused a fresh agreement with Seven when her existing contract ends in October.
Speaking to the press, she expressed that her departure was a mix of sadness and sweetness, acknowledging it was the right moment for her and expressing enthusiasm about her upcoming endeavors.
She emphasizes the importance of trusting her intuition, following its lead, knowing when it’s time to act, and feeling confident about her abilities. She takes pride in her self-assuredness, acknowledging that she knows when she has given her best, and then moves forward.
‘This is not the end. It’s just the end of this chapter.’
As a devoted admirer, I am thrilled to share that Samantha will grace us at the upcoming Logies, as her show Farmer Wants A Wife has been nominated for Best Structured Reality Program. However, I won’t be seeing her as the host of the next series, as she has decided not to return for its pre-production phase.
The reality show’s original host Natalie Gruzlewski will return.
Angus Ross, the top executive at Seven Television, made the following statement: “Samantha Armytage has chosen to part ways with the Seven Network as of October this year. We completely comprehend and back her choice.”
Sam’s exceptional influence on Channel Seven spans over two decades, starting with 7NEWS and Sunrise, and most recently, Farmer Wants a Wife.
He continued: ‘Her genuine affection for the country lifestyle she’s grown up with and enjoys to this day has shone through her three seasons with the TV WEEK Logie Award-nominated series.
It has been delightful witnessing Sam express her affection for these communities, which she has proudly represented to Australia. As we conclude our heartwarming tales about exceptional farmers, we extend our best wishes for continued joy and prosperity to both Sam and her farming partner in their future endeavors.
