Samantha Armytage hints she may get another dog after her beloved Banjo's tragic death

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but feel a sense of empathy mixed with excitement when it comes to Samantha Armytage. Her life journey is one that resonates deeply, filled with heartbreak and joy, losses and gains. The recent events, including her loss of Banjo and her newfound connection with Ginger, reflect the ebb and flow of life, a cycle that she navigates with grace and resilience.

Samantha Armytage has hinted that she may be ready for another four legged friend.

In February, the rising star on Channel Nine sadly lost her loyal dog, Banjo, who had been bitten by a venomous snake.

It seems that Sam, who is 48 years old, might be experiencing puppy love once more following an enjoyable canine-filled afternoon with his sister Georgina in Sydney.

On Thursday, Sam posted a sweet collection of photos on her Instagram stories, featuring herself and her sisters playing with a friendly dog at a temporary Guide Dogs NSW location in Paddington.

In a heart-pounding moment of pure bliss, I couldn’t help but capture the scene: there was Sam, her face radiant with joy and a sparkle in her eye, nestling her head on the irresistibly cute Ginger, while Georgina held the pooch tenderly close.

It seemed like Georgina wanted to bring Ginger home, which would make Sam an honorary dog aunt. The TV host labeled the photo: “Georgie Armytage, back home!

In another picture, you can see Georgina lovingly embracing the adorable pet, firmly hugging it while her face lights up in joy and she closes her eyes in happiness.

From my perspective, it seems that a furry, four-legged companion may soon join Sam’s family, given the hint I observed in her eyes.

Sam took to Instagram in February to share the heartbreaking news that Banjo died.

The family claims that the cute dog was bitten by a snake while it stayed with its father close to Wagga Wagga.

She posted a collection of photos showing herself alongside a six-year-old Labrador Retriever, reminiscing about their cherished moments together.

In a caption, she shared a quote from Winnie the Pooh as she paid tribute to her pet.

‘How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard,’ she wrote.

‘Three weeks ago yesterday, I said goodbye to my darling boy, Banjo. My heart is completely broken.

‘He was my best mate, my baby & my shadow.. & I don’t know what I’m going to do without him.

It’s unfortunate that he passed away prematurely. At the moment, he was residing with his father in Wagga, and there is suspicion that he might have been bitten by a snake.

The incident took us by surprise, and I feel compelled to express my gratitude towards our veterinarian for their tireless efforts in attempting to save him. It’s heartbreaking to say that we’re all feeling quite down.

‘There is another star in heaven these days. Vale Banjo.’

Her fans were quick to take to the comments section to share their condolences with the TV star.

In 2016, the ex-co-host of Sunrise, now wife to equestrian entrepreneur Richard Lavender, initially welcomed Banjo into their home.

Samantha often shared glimpses at her life with her beloved pooch to her Instagram page.

The television veteran announced she was leaving Channel Seven in August after 21 years at the network.

Originally known as a star on Farmer Wants A Wife, she has now transitioned to Nine and will take up hosting duties for their Australian adaptation of The Bachelor, titled The Golden Bachelor.

In her fresh role at Nine, she is set to step in as an alternate host for Today, with regular hosts Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo taking their leave during the summer.

According to The Daily Telegraph, it has been reported that former Sunrise host Sam will team up with Clint Stanaway, a star from Weekend Today, as his co-host.

For the next two weeks, the journalist will take over as host on a competing morning show, leveraging her extensive eight-year anchoring background with Sunrise (from 2013 to 2021) for the role.

Speaking candidly regarding his unexpected transition to the Kyle and Jackie O Show recently, the ex-Sunrise personality expressed that Network Nine has been exceptionally warm and accommodating.

As a devoted admirer, I found myself captivated when radio personality Kyle Sandilands opened our conversation with an unapologetic inquiry: “Could you share your experience of infidelity while you were with Seven? Did the act itself pose any challenges for you?

In response to Sam’s laughter, Kyle, aged 53, playfully questioned: “Were you wined and dined by Channel Nine, and given limousine rides?

The television figure gracefully evaded the query and replied: “Channel Nine has been incredibly hospitable. Absolutely so.

‘It’s been a really nice move for me and a very good fresh start at this age.’
