Recently, fans were taken aback when Sam revealed that she is stepping down from her role at Seven and departing from Farmer Wants A Wife as part of a significant shift in her professional path.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, she characterized her departure as a mix of sadness and sweetness, acknowledging that it was time for her to move on, and expressing her enthusiasm for what lies ahead in her future.
She emphasizes the importance of trusting her gut feelings. She follows her intuition, knowing when it’s the right moment to act. She takes pride in having the confidence to acknowledge when she has given her best in a situation, then moves forward.

Previously from Sunrise, she made an appearance as a temporary host on the dating reality show FWAW in 2022. Then, in 2023, she took over as the main host, replacing Natalie Gruzlewski.
Following the unexpected announcement of her departure, it was later revealed that Sam reportedly declined a new contract for which details subsequently surfaced.
According to Woman’s Day, it was reported that Sam decided to step down from hosting duties after two seasons due to Seven’s intentions of reducing her salary.
As a devoted admirer, I found myself aspiring for an equivalent remuneration to that of Natalie Barr and Sonia Kruger. This was conveyed to me by a reliable source when speaking with the press.
Sam, despite being on breakfast television, was finding himself financially supported by a previous agreement, which isn’t the norm for hosting just one reality show nowadays.
She wanted to know how much Sonia earns for performing in three shows, but it wasn’t feasible because Seven lacked the necessary funds.
They claimed furthermore that Seven denied Sam greater authority over the creative aspects of the reality TV show.
Following a span of 21 years at Seven where her annual earnings allegedly reached half a million dollars, it appears that Sam’s representatives are arranging talks with Nine and Ten.
Samantha plans to attend the forthcoming Logies, as her show “Farmer Wants A Wife” has been nominated for the category of Best Structured Reality Program. However, she won’t be returning to host the upcoming season of the show, which is already in the pre-production phase.
