Samantha Armytage has been busy with new work commitments.

On Tuesday, the television host announced her latest venture with a sweet post to Instagram.

At the age of 48, she snuggled close to a delightful Labrador retriever while sharing the news that she is now serving as an ambassador for Guide Dogs Australia.

She expressed great enthusiasm, joy, and pride in her new role as an ambassador for Guide Dogs Australia, praising the organization for its authenticity and reliability.

Sam expressed, “For a long time, they’ve held a special place in my heart, and now I’m fortunate enough to be involved with them. They tirelessly contribute to making the world more accessible for visually impaired individuals, enabling them to live rich, secure, and fruitful lives.

Over the coming weeks, we will be searching for caring individuals willing to act as puppy raisers. These individuals should provide secure and nurturing environments for our future guide dog pups until they are old enough for formal training and eventually become exceptional working guide dogs.

In my world as a lifestyle expert, I can’t help but share a heartfelt tribute to my beloved Labradors, especially dear Banjo, who left us too soon in the cold months of last February. He was more than just a pet; he was a cherished friend and an irreplaceable part of our family.

It’s no secret that I have a deep affection for Labradors, and given the nature of this position, it seems tailor-made for me. To give you a glimpse, I’ve attached some photos below of my beloved Banjo – a dog whose absence I feel daily.

After a solitary Christmas following my separation from Richard Lavender, I subtly hinted at our divorce, Sam mentioned.

‘Cuddles with these pups healed my heart a lot. Bring on 2025’ she wrote.

On the night before their fourth wedding anniversary, Sam parted ways with his equestrian entrepreneur partner, Richard, who was 61 years old.

Samantha started dating Richard in April 2019, and they announced their engagement in June 2020.

In the breathtaking Southern Highlands of New South Wales, I had the privilege of exchanging vows on New Year’s Eve, that very same year, at a stunning 40-hectare estate I was fortunate to call my own.

However, it was reported exclusively by Daily Mail Australia last month that they had parted ways. Later on, Samantha herself confirmed that their separation was done amicably.

Samantha shared with the media that she and Richard have parted ways. While all separations are difficult, theirs is made a bit easier because it’s friendly, and both of them hope for the best for each other.

‘I appreciate you respecting our privacy. I won’t be making any further comment.’

Subsequently, Sam’s forthcoming Channel Nine dating show, The Golden Bachelor, encountered an unforeseen hurdle during the audition phase.

The forthcoming series shares its title with a well-known American program and focuses on individuals aged sixty and above, who are seeking a new opportunity for romance in their lives.

Yet, it’s been disclosed that the Warner Bros casting team encountered difficulties during their search for mature individuals seeking romance.

According to a source, many of the candidates struggle with correctly completing the application form and attaching images and videos. (Yahoo Lifestyle)

Many people, having not owned an iPhone or a computer, are unable to perform the task themselves upon learning about the show from the news.

The source shared that adjustments needed to be made in the casting procedure, expanding the range of prospective talents they could consider.

Initially, the response to our applications was modest, but after encouraging folks to submit their grandparents’ names, the number of submissions has increased significantly.

They reached out to retirement homes nationwide, seeking seniors who were interested in a public opportunity to find love.

In 2025, The Golden Bachelor TV show will debut on Channel Nine, providing individuals aged 50 and up with an opportunity to explore new romantic possibilities – essentially a second shot at finding love.

It emerged in November that The Golden Bachelor has adopted an unconventional method in his search for potential contestants.

At Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney, a talent scout for Channel Nine’s show was seen distributing business cards to participants.

According to the Daily Telegraph, casting agent Ivanna Tang chose an unconventional approach by trying to attract horse racetrack visitors for the upcoming spin-off program.

The people responsible for production are currently working hard backstage, focusing on selecting a suitable bachelor for their show, and they’re optimistic about making a decision regarding the main actor within the next few weeks.

In Australia, rights to air The Golden Bachelor have been acquired by nine, with Samantha set to take on hosting duties for this popular reality dating show.

Samantha got involved with the casting call, urging people to give their family members a ‘nudge’.

Host Samantha, known for “Outgoing Farmer Wants A Wife,” surprised viewers in August by leaving Seven Network after 21 years. Speculations about her future plans are running high.

At Nine’s Upfronts held in November, her new hosting role for The Golden Bachelor was revealed – this event disclosed the network’s planned programs for the year 2025 to a select group of attendees.

In her interview with 9Entertainment, Samantha expressed her belief that everyone would take a liking to it. She referred to it as a nostalgic appreciation for the bygone eras.

Upon receiving the invitation to participate in the television show, I jumped at the chance without a second thought. Given the massive popularity of The Golden Bachelor in the United States, I believe it will capture similar acclaim in Australia as well.

Nine is incredibly excited to announce that Samantha Armytage will be joining us as the new host of The Golden Bachelor, our show dedicated to giving people a second opportunity at love. In addition, Nine’s Chief Marketing Officer, Liana Dubois, expressed her delight by saying we are more than just pleased about this development.

Warner Bros Australia ignited rumors about a local adaptation of the show in November 2023 by seeking “enthusiastic, energetic, and sociable gentlemen aged 60 or above who are either divorced or widowed” for a brand-new dating program.

In the initial American adaptation, The Golden Bachelor featured Gerry Turner, a 72-year-old father of two who had recently lost his spouse, as the lead character. Subsequently, the Golden Bachelorette debuted with Joan Vassos, a 61-year-old widow, seeking romance.

In simpler terms, the American adaptation of the show has achieved remarkable popularity, as its final episode attracted an impressive 6.1 million viewers – marking the highest viewership for a finale of The Bachelor in America since 2021.
