Following the demise of the Jedi, the absence of his sworn enemy left him with fewer opportunities to nurture that deep-seated hatred. In Star Wars: Rebels, he pursued Obi-Wan Kenobi as a target, but in his final moments, he expressed a desire for vengeance against Palpatine instead.
