Sam Thompson jokes Pete Wicks is a ‘predator’ as he pokes fun at his womanising ways at O2 show which saw him kiss Jowita – before PDA with mystery blonde emerged

Pete Wicks sparked controversy after sharing a passionate kiss with his former *Strictly Come Dancing* partner, Jowita Przystał, on stage in London. It was later revealed that he is also dating another woman.

And no one is more amused by his antics than his best friend and co-star Sam Thompson.

I went to a live show of the ‘Staying Relevant’ podcast, which was completely sold out. It was clear Sam, 33, loves to playfully poke fun at Pete, 36, for his past relationships. He jokingly called Pete a ‘predator’ and even did an impression of T-rex arms, which the audience clearly enjoyed. It was all in good fun, and easy to see why they were doing it!

Oh my gosh, I’ve been following Pete for years, and let me tell you, his love life is *always* drama! I’ve reported on so many of his relationships – the whole thing with Megan McKenna was insane, and then there was that quick fling with Maura Higgins. Honestly, it was wild because rumors about him and Jowita started swirling around the *same time* as the Maura thing! I’ve kept up with every single detail, obviously.

Despite his reputation as a ladies’ man, it’s important to remember that Pete is incredibly talented. He’s a gifted speaker and knows how to connect with an audience, which is a major reason he’s been so successful after leaving TOWIE – something many of his former co-stars haven’t been able to achieve.

And Sam has star quality too, as anyone in the audience would testify.

Six years ago, when Pete and Sam first met, it seemed impossible they would one day achieve the same level of success as stars like Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Adele – selling out the famous O2 arena.

They’re doing surprisingly well, despite some critics unfairly labeling them as just ‘reality TV stars’ – a description those critics should be able to see past.

Anyone who’d been at the concert with me in London on Friday – among the 15,000 fans there – would have understood how popular these two friends have become and how great they are performing together.

The podcast ‘Staying Relevant’ has gained a large and growing audience, especially after Sam and Pete appeared on popular TV shows: ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ and ‘Strictly Come Dancing,’ respectively.

Their most dedicated fans have followed them since their early days on Celebs Go Dating in 2019, and even further back to when they first gained popularity on Made In Chelsea and The Only Way Is Essex – shows where I originally started supporting them.

Logically, this pairing shouldn’t succeed – they’re total opposites. But it did, and the fans who supported them were thrilled with the incredible performance at their special one-night-only live show on Friday.

The crowd’s energy was like a boyband concert, with fans of all ages completely captivated by Pete and Sam. Many were clearly attracted to Pete’s tough and rebellious image, while others felt a strong desire to nurture Sam, who had a naturally sweet and endearing personality.

The event drew a large crowd, including enthusiastic fans with their families, as well as several well-known celebrities. These included stars like Sam Vanderpump, Reza Amiri, and James Dunmore from Made In Chelsea, and James Argent from TOWIE, plus Sam’s sister, Louise.

I was so excited to see everyone backstage! I spotted Vicky Pattison, and then Rochelle and Marvin Humes walked through. It was a real surprise to see James Buckley from The Inbetweeners there with his wife, Clair, too – what a fun group!

The show built on the podcast format, featuring special guests, but Pete and Sam truly captivated the audience with their charm and humor.

Oh my god, it was insane! Pete totally kicked things off by bringing him and Sam onstage, and then he just… said it. He said the night was for them, *and* he looked right at us – the fans – and called us… well, you know. He actually *said* that word! It was shocking, but honestly? It just made me love him more. It felt so raw and real, like he truly didn’t care what anyone thought. It was the perfect start to the night, honestly!

That was the first of many swear words they used that night, which was a little unexpected considering there were younger fans around. But they seemed completely caught up in the moment, and were simply being themselves.

Sam jokingly told the audience he was single and playfully invited them to be more affectionate, referencing a previous rule against physical contact at their concerts.

The song “Steal My Girl” by One Direction sparked conversation about his past relationships, specifically referencing his ex, Zara McDermott, who is now dating Louis Tomlinson.

Sam jokingly criticized Pete’s reputation for dating many women, playfully calling him a ‘predator’ while imitating a T-rex. He then told the audience that Pete is calmed down by cigarettes and alcohol.

He continued, prompting a collective sigh, saying, ‘It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster year for me, as many of you know, but Pete has been an incredibly supportive friend.’

Pete, considered the driving force behind their new company, Staying Relevant Productions, has been trying to move past his reputation from his time on TOWIE. However, video recently emerged showing him intensely kissing a blonde woman at a restaurant in Mayfair.

Pete has frequently mentioned in interviews that he wants to find a long-term relationship and settle down. However, he seems to enjoy dating and, given his popularity, likely has plenty of options.

During the show, Sam broke another Guinness World Record – his seventh! He caught the most balls stuck to a Velcro suit while hanging in the air, and playfully told his dad in the audience, ‘That’s what all that tuition money was for!’

James, known for his role in The Inbetweeners, playfully added to the teasing, joking that Sam was heartbroken while Pete seemed to be dating everyone. He then hinted that what they really needed was right in front of them, making one of several jokes with a suggestive, playful tone towards the pair.

After enjoying several pints of Guinness and having a bit too much to drink while on stage, Sam unexpectedly revealed his abs during Peter Andre’s performance of ‘Mysterious Girl’.

Right after Marvin from the band JLS finished singing “Everybody in Love,” Peter Andre took the stage. He was supported by his wife Emily and daughter Princess, who were cheering him on from the audience. The performance was a playful reference to Sam’s time on the reality show “I’m A Celebrity.”

The most talked-about part of the evening was when Pete brought out his former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ partner, Jowita, who looked stunning in a short, white dress.

Footage of Pete and Jowita rehearsing their last dance on Strictly Come Dancing – a routine they didn’t get to perform because they were eliminated in the semi-finals – was shown on a large screen.

The dancers had secretly been practicing for weeks, perfecting their routine for a special Friday night performance, and the audience didn’t know it.

The performance included a lot of kissing, with the couple sharing several passionate moments that left the audience speechless and me, as a showbiz reporter, thoroughly delighted.

Jowita and Pete were seen together at the after-party, fueling speculation about a romantic connection. They had generously provided an open bar for their colleagues, friends, and family to celebrate.

Sam, clearly enjoying the night and sporting a new O2 tattoo on his arm, was generously offering tequila shots to everyone, including me.

He shared his ambitious plans for the future, including playing at Wembley Stadium and eventually co-hosting a TV variety show with Pete.

The presenter, known as ‘The King of the Jungle,’ revealed that television executives are still hesitant to approve a show starring him and Pete.

If Friday night is anything to go by, they don’t know what they’re missing out on.
