Sam Thompson and Louis Tomlinson ‘hold peace dinner’ in a bid to ‘ease awkwardness’ over Zara McDermott after coming face-to-face at Soccer Aid training

Prior to their soccer game, it is reported that Sam Thompson and Louis Tomlinson had a pre-match gathering, often referred to as a “peace dinner,” in an effort to alleviate any potential frictions related to Zara McDermott.

For a while now, they’ve been preparing side by side for the charitable occasion. This encounter marked their first meeting since it was revealed that Louis, aged 33, has been in a relationship with Zara, who used to date Sam.

According to reports, they dined together at Champneys in Tring, Hertfordshire, joining their fellow team members. This gathering was intended as an effort to maintain harmony before the crucial match scheduled for Sunday.

According to a source, there is no conflict between them, and they are both committed to keeping their personal relationships separate and unrelated to this significant charitable event.

They know they’re under close observation, and they’ve already shared meals with their team members. So, the day should go without a hitch for them.

Last month on their podcast, Pete Wicks, aged 37, playfully hinted at a possibly uncomfortable situation that might arise for Sam concerning Louis.

As a diehard fan, I can’t help but express my awe as I find myself drawn to ask: “Man, you’re truly putting in work with this body transformation, intense dieting, and rigorous training. Could it be all in preparation for Soccer Aid?

However, without changing the topic, Pete inquired: ‘Are there any particular individuals inside that you’re excited to collaborate with?’

Sam chuckled, saying, “‘Tom Grennan.’ Excited is an understatement! Can’t wait to team up with Wayne Rooney – and get this, Tyson Fury is our manager!

Pete made a joke, saying, “That’s going to be absolutely fantastic! However, do try to win him over since you might require his support if you ever have disagreements with others. I’m not suggesting this will happen, but it’s always good to have someone on your side in case there are any conflicts or disputes.

Training together can be intense, especially when you’re in close proximity to someone for extended periods. You end up discussing a wide range of topics, not just about the task at hand.

Towards the end of the previous year, Sam, who was the winner of I’m A Celebrity and is 32 years old, parted ways with his girlfriend Zara, a former participant from Love Island, following five years in their relationship.

It was then revealed in March how Zara had moved on with former One Direction singer Louis.  

Sam has since moved on with Love Island beauty Samie Elishi, 25.

Following the undeniable confirmation of their romantic bloom through a passionate kiss in Mayfair last month, whispers of a separation emerged as Samie conspicuously failed to attend Sam’s high-profile participation in the Soccer Aid event.

It was later found that these rumors were unfounded, as the couple’s relationship is said to be thriving based on their enjoyment of spending leisure time together, according to a source familiar with them who spoke to TopMob.

Currently, Sam finds himself unable to participate in this coming Sunday’s Soccer Aid match due to a series of injuries he sustained, among which is a calf injury, following his recent 260-mile challenge.

Rather than participating in the game himself, he’ll now be offering support from the sidelines, acting as a coach, following his injury.

Opening up about his injury, Sam spoke to This Morning hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

He mentioned that he’s still quite tender, his calf is still injured, but he’s at Soccer Aid Headquarters, and there’s nothing better than that.
