Sam Smith Spotted in Sydney: Casual Coffee Run Sparks Fashion Buzz!

Sam Smith cut a casual figure as the UK singer stepped out in Sydney on Saturday. 

32-year-old artist, known for his prayer songs, was recently seen in the urban neighborhood of Darlinghurst, enjoying a cup of coffee with a friend.

Sam, who uses they/them pronouns, wore loose fitting blue, grey, and white striped shirt.

The short-sleeved outfit rolled up to reveal tattoos on Sam’s forearms.

Sam also put on a leggy display in a pair of casual-cut bone coloured shorts. 

The shorts, which finished just above the knee, also exposed some quirky ink on the singer’s legs.

Sam finished the outfit with a  pair of black leather loafers that featured a silver buckle.

The group was finished off with a navy blue cap worn backward by Sam, along with a pair of golden earrings.

The Stay With Me star appeared keen to both hydrate and enjoy some caffeine on the morning outing.

Sam was seen with a big takeout coffee cup in one hand, and another hand filled with what seemed like water in a plastic container.

The star also carried a bottle of water in the crook of their right arm. 

Sam was later seen carrying a large leather backpack over their shoulder.

On a bright Sydney morning, Sam seemed pleased and conversed cheerfully with their friend during their leisurely stroll.

At present, Sam is romantically involved with fashion designer Christian Cowan. However, he chose not to join them on this particular journey.

Since 2022, they’ve been a couple, having met when Christian worked together with Sam on the outfits for their “I’m Not Here to Make Friends” music video.

In a confirmation of their relationship, Christian, who works with high-profile celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, and Heidi Klum, publicly displayed his romance with Sam by sharing a kiss in January 2023 while strolling hand-in-hand through the streets of New York.

This is Sam’s initial foray into a public romantic partnership following their breakup with Brandon Flynn, who is known for his role in 13 Reasons Why, at the age of 30. After publicly identifying as non-binary in 2019, this is a new development in their personal life.

In the year 2019, Sam disclosed their identity as non-binary and requested to be referred to using the pronouns ‘they’ and ‘them’, rather than ‘he’ or ‘him’.

After living a lifetime in conflict with my gender identity, I have chosen to accept and love myself, both internally and externally.

Regarding their gender identity, Sam stated, “I don’t fit neatly into the categories of male or female; instead, I fall somewhere along the spectrum, flowing more fluidly.

This popular singer, famous for songs like “Dancing With a Stranger,” “Too Good At Goodbyes,” and the 2015 James Bond theme “Writing’s on the Wall,” has expressed that they are willing to date anyone they develop feelings for.

They expressed that they’ve rarely considered people or any humans in a strictly defined manner.

I was raised in a household where traditional gender roles were significantly reversed or altered.

‘My mum worked, my dad was a househusband. My sisters are incredibly strong women.’

Apart from his relationship with Brandon Flynn, Sam also had a romantic history with Jonathan Zeizel. Interestingly, they credit Zeizel for causing them emotional distress, as it resulted in four Grammy Awards wins.

Afterward, Sam explained that they were removed from the slope in a makeshift sack filled with blood, emphasizing how harrowing the experience was. He further noted that it was an ordeal that left a lasting impact on him.

The hitmaker also admitted that the damage left them unable to walk for an entire month.

Instead of choosing surgery, they opted for a non-invasive method, but unfortunately, they couldn’t walk on that leg for an entire month, which turned out to be quite miserable.
