The popular historical drama Outlander, filmed in Scotland, has announced that its final season will premiere in March 2026. Sam Heughan, who plays the central character Jamie Fraser, returns for the eighth and final season, promising an emotional conclusion to the series.
The final season of the time-traveling romance series, based on Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander books, will begin airing on MGM+ in the UK on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Each new episode will be released every Saturday.
The Starz series centers on Claire Fraser, played by Caitríona Balfe, a nurse from World War II who mysteriously travels back to 1700s Scotland. There, she finds love with Jamie, a brave Highland warrior.
