Sam Heughan cuts Outlander cake to celebrate 100 episodes!

As a gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in the world of time-traveling dramas, I can confidently say that the journey through the Outlander series has been nothing short of extraordinary. Reaching the 100th episode milestone is a testament to the dedicated work of the cast and crew, and I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia as I reflect on the past 10 years.

In August of 2014, more than ten years ago, the premiere of the time-traveling drama Outlander, adapted from Diana Gabaldon’s book series, was aired. Interestingly, the team behind this series has been working on it for an extended period. Recently, they achieved an impressive feat that not many shows can claim – they filmed their 100th episode!

Actors Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, David Berry, and executive producer Matthew B. Roberts celebrated the milestone of 100 Outlander episodes by ceremoniously slicing into a cake bearing the label “Outlander 100 Episodes”. Notably, it was Sam Heughan who performed the honors using a sword, fittingly so.

Wow, this is unbelievable! It’s not every day that something like this occurs – a full century of television, as I mentioned in the video I recently shared on Entertainment Weekly.

One thing I have to note: Heughan is rocking a flowy, long-haired wig that makes him look like he stepped off the cover of a romance novel from the ’90s. That’s neither here nor there, but hair matters to Outlander fans, so it’s worth bringing up.
