Sam Frost shared details about a nerve-wracking incident when her son, Teddy, suddenly became unresponsive while she was pregnant with him as her first child.
In an interview for the Two Doting Dads podcast on Monday, the ex-actress from Home and Away, aged 36, shared that her son exhibited less movement towards the end of her pregnancy.
As the delivery date neared, I noticed an unusual change – my baby boy had ceased all movements. During my recent visit to the midwife, I expressed my concern as he’s typically quite lively. I informed her that he hadn’t moved in a while.
‘They did their scans and tests. They said they were happy and his heartbeat is strong.’
Sam said she went home and ‘laid awake all night with my hand on my stomach and he was not moving.’

The following day, I approached them and expressed, “It’s essential for you to inspect this matter; I believe there’s something amiss with my child.
In the throes of my fervent devotion, a harrowing turn of events unfolded: his heart began to race erratically, and specialists suspected that his nourishment from the placenta had ceased. Consequently, I found myself undergoing induction, and just five hours later, he graced this world. I can’t help but feel profoundly fortunate for having trusted my instincts.
On March 7, 2023, Sam gave birth to their first-born son, Ted, alongside Australian Survivor star Jordie Hansen.
They announced the arrival of their second child, Bobby, back in March this year.
She identified him as Bobby Frost-Hansen on Instagram, placing a red heart emoji next to it, prior to disclosing his complete name.
‘We love you so much little man • 29/03/2025,’ she continued.
Shortly after the couple made their wonderful announcement, they were quickly overwhelmed by messages of congratulations from their famous acquaintances.
In a casual, easy-to-understand manner: “Lisa Wilkinson wrote, ‘Wow, I’m sizzling! Bobby is stunningly gorgeous. Great job to you! Bravo!’
‘Congratulations angel!!! He is just beautiful,’ added Rachael Finch.
‘Congrats angel! So happy for you!’ commented podcaster Brittany Hockley.
‘Congratulations darling. To you and your little family,’ wrote Home and Away star Georgie Parker.
In August, the actress revealed pregnancy was not easy for her.
She shared with Confidential on Nova radio that she found pregnancy challenging, but unexpectedly, she’s feeling a bit calmer about the future than she initially anticipated.
Sam and Jordie announced their engagement on 7 July 2022.
