Sam Fox Pays Tribute to Late Partner Myra Stratton on Her 70th Birthday

Sam Fox expressed warm wishes for the “heavenly birthday” of her departed companion, Myra Stratton, as she honored her memory on Thursday.

For a dozen years, Myra served as both the romantic partner and professional manager of the singer. In the same year they began their relationship, the pop star openly disclosed their sexual orientation to the public.

In the year 2015, she sadly lost her life at the age of 60, following a diagnosis of terminal cancer two years earlier.

Marking her would be 70th with an Instagram post, Sam shared a photo of Myra over a sunset. 

She wrote: ‘Celebrating your 70th heavenly birthday, Myra! Here’s wishing you lots of love.’ (Accompanied by a series of red heart emojis)

Previously, Sam confessed that she didn’t feel comfortable revealing to others that she was struggling emotionally following Myra’s passing.

The performer, once a popular model, admitted that she had difficulty feigning happiness and couldn’t compose any music for a span of two years.

In an exclusive conversation with TopMob, I shared, “Reflecting on the past, my former partner and I had been together for a remarkable 16 years. That length of time is truly significant.

I found myself unable to compose lyrics for about two years. Everything I penned seemed melancholic, which wasn’t the image I wanted to project, so I held back from sharing my work during that time.

At that moment, it proved incredibly challenging for me to let go and perform on stage with a false smile on my face while feeling deeply sad inside. However, as time passed, it began to heal my wounds, and eventually, I encountered Linda.

At that age, I never imagined I would find someone with whom I would spend the remainder of my life, but I did, and I am incredibly content with where I am now.

As you reach your fifties, you find yourself missing deeply the woman who was my soulmate, Myra. We had spent sixteen precious years together, and I never imagined I would share my life with anyone else. I believed our journey was set in stone.

Sam has now moved on with Norwegian tour manager Linda Olsen, who she married in July last year.

She exclaimed: ‘When I encountered Linda and instantly felt smitten, our connection was undeniably profound from the very start. I must admit, I couldn’t be more content.’

Sam added: “I’m delighted to have encountered someone so remarkable, both in spirit and appearance. I can rely on her completely, just like my mom who serves as a pillar of strength for me, she is another rock for me as well.

The pair got married in an extravagant wedding held in Essex during July. They had announced their engagement back in March of 2020.

Linda, originally from Norway, serves as a tour manager and maintains a low-key lifestyle. She started dating Sam back in 2016.

In 2018, the previous beauty pageant contestant, who had experienced a frightening cancer suspicion when she discovered a lump on her vocal cords two years prior, revealed that she had rediscovered love with a Norwegian woman raising two children.

The couple met a meet and greet for the singer, with Linda being a big fan of the star’s work.
